What will happen with 2.0 offline editor after Flash Player ending?

Scratch 2.0 offline editor does not use Flash Player. It uses Adobe AIR.

I think it will just completely shut down, just like tinypic did(a couple of days ago, tinypic is an image hoster that shut down recently).

EDIT: This is what will happen to the 2.0 Online Editor, but the same thing might happen to Adobe AIR eventually in the future.

Once Adobe Air shuts down (if it ever does), you can still use the 1.4 editor.

If Adobe stops supporting Adobe AIR, it won't just magically stop working for everyone. Since it's an offline program, you could use Scratch 2 for as far into the future as you want, as long as you have a copy of Adobe AIR to go off. Flash is different in that because it's a mostly online plugin, it depends on the web browser if they want to continue supporting Flash Player past the date that Adobe stops supporting Flash themselves (which will most likely be no due to the various security exploits that Flash Player has)

I didn't know that Scratch 2.0 offline editor uses different program than the online version.
