A CAPTCHA to Solve when Creating an Account. Near 100% Support! Over 20 Supporters!

Speaks for itself, prevents robots and things like this happening:

Proof: Look at the last post of this topic. The ST would say ‘this is not real’ instead of saying ‘we are always trying to prevent spam’. Since only the ST can stop it, thus they must have seen it because the spam has stopped now.

We could use a CAPTCHA like that.

apparently the last captcha was removed because it was ReCAPTCHA, which blocked out legitimate Chinese users. So instead of creating a custom CAPTCHA that isn't blocked by the Chinesese Gubbmint, ST just removed the CAPTCHA and put nothing in its place, which I think is one of the few legitimately bad decisions ST has made, next to how Scratch handles bitmap images.

I didn't see this happen because I don't go to the other language forums that much, but support because if this happened in this forum, it would be a much bigger problem.

I have about 3450 posts, 90 shared projects, 180 total created/followed topics, and 425 followers.

Advice:
Saying “Support” or “No Support” doesn't contribute anything to the conversation.
A question that has already been answered doesn't need to be answered twice with the same answer - bring something new to the table.

Support because automated spambots aren't great. I'd like to see what other CAPTCHA options are available other than ReCAPTCHA (which doesn't work in mainland China) and make sure that they're easy for Scratchers to do and isn't a victim of government censorship by a major country.

Again? Support, the ST should definitely consider this more as a priority - those bots are getting tiresome. I'm sure a captcha wouldn't hurt anyone anyways either.

I support. These bots are getting tiresome to report. We cannot use ReCAPTCHA however. as it is blocked in Mainland China, where there are 1.2 million Scratch users.

For starters, I would recommend this type of captcha, which I found on a webcomic site:

I find this type of captcha very intuitive and easy to use. As shown in the image, you simply match the answer choice with the character's name that is on the photo itself.
We can easily substitute this for sprite characters that Scratch uses, and put the sprite's name on it.

Accessibility options for the hearingvisually impaired may be needed but so far I haven't come up with ideas. Anyone else have some?

That’s ReCaptcha, which is blocked in Mainland China which VFdan said.
Also, support. It can help crack down bots.
