IMPORTANT NOTICE - TINYPIC IS SHUTTING DOWN TOMORROW

WARNING: Tinypic will PERMANENTLY shut down on September 9th. All images will be taken with it. Download anything you want to keep.

According to a notification on their website, TinyPic is shutting down their website at some point in 2019, and they say that the reason they are shutting it down is because the ever-dwindling ad revenue is no longer enough to support a free image host.

If you have images on Tinypic, I implore you to move the images to a different image host, the best alternative currently being CubeUpload since it is free, but it does require an account.

This would be a good opportunity for me to plug Xomf.com, since similar to Tinypic, it's a simple image sharing website that doesn't require an account (you can't even make an account) and is totally free without any intrusive advertising. I really hope the Scratch Team approves it as an SF image host, preferably before Tinypic bites the dust and takes all of its images with it.

hi i am myself, i make projects that take like a week or month to make whenever i feel like it (which isn't often) and then they only get 10 views because i'm a nobody. and i cannot change that. i am just one singular person in the sea of many that are on scratch. my stuff don't matter. i don't matter. i am going to die in 70 years anyway, and 99.99% of people on the world will not even know, or really care if they know. also i am good at programming i made an opengl so ha take that nuuubs. (i am legally required to say that statement does not accurately reflect my views i wrote that because i thought it was funny)

Or you just use World_Languages's thumbnail tutorial thingy with that. It's what I do.

Noo! It was the only site I can see it's photos! I can't see cubeupload, imageshack and imgur images and photobucket photos are just filled with watermark and “photo not found” text! This is very bad

Now I can just see Scratch Wiki photos

I don’t know exactly how it works, but I assume even if you could get the url (which I don’t see how you could from the wayback) I would think it wouldn’t work anymore once the site shut down

Your country has probably blocked all those sites. It's called government censorship. I might be wrong.

A VPN pretty much reroutes your Internet connection to a different location, so you can get around censorship.

Oh whoops my bad. But still, that doesn't change the fact that making a whole nother project just for that can get annoying and tiresome. Plus, I'm sure that simply uploading an image to cubeupload is faster than making a project, uploading the image, make it the thumbnail, get the link to the thumbnail image, etc.

Yeah, and the image size would be reduced to 360x480, and if you want your image to be larger, you'd have to make it in vector which is impossible to export as a .jpg or .png.

Plus, cubeupload is unbelievably easy to sign up to, and if you don't have an email address, you can always use 10-minute mail. It's easy and secure to use, and you can get another 10 minutes if you wish.
