Like the other effects, pixel and other. But add a blur so you can blur objects.

Like: Change blur <number>
I totally support this. Just today I was looking for something like this for one of my sprites.

Heh, you linked to this exact post.

This is my forum signature! On a forum post, it is okay for Scratchers to advertise in their forum signature. The signature is the stuff that shows up below the horizontal line on the post. It will show up on every post I make.

I like having old scratch features in new scratch, like removed blocks that made thing simpler Examples:

say nothing :: looks

change stretch by (10) :: looks

set stretch to (100)% :: looks

NOTE: I have left scratch, see my featured project for more info

It would probably be useful for making OS wallpapers.

'Cause you could just do:

Sprite: Wallpapers

when green flag clicked
set size to (150) %
set [blur v] effect to (25)

You know what also could be used for ***? Black rectangles. Rectangles of any color. Any geometry. Because it could be used for something bad doesn't mean it's bad.

You could use this for home scenes. I like to have a play button with the game in the background, but blurred so there is more focus on the buttons in the menu.

set [ blur v] effect to (0)

change [ blur v] effect by (25)

when green flag clicked
forever
if <not <(life) = [good]>> then
set [life v] to [good]
end

No support, doesn't the pixelate effect kind of already cannot do this?

Huh, no support.

It is just a more effective version of the pixelate effect, so I see no reason why this should be added when there is a simple workaround.

??? If it was going to be used for that, A. the project would be removed, B. the original costume without any filters would be shown, and C. I don't think anyone would do that.

all my projects got flagged as being inappropro so now i have nothing to offer you except for a stupid fruity maze recreation

Blur effect I think would be amazing and can make some project more cinematic. It is finally better than just go on photoshop and make the image file blurred which it takes some time.

Now here comes the cons.

I can see few Scratcher think they be clever and do that. Obviously, you can report the project. You can also have that argument to the ‘Pixelated’ effect but still is something you had to have in mind when suggesting various features.

I think performance-wise, it might be bit laggy. From what I heard from Scratch Wiki, they actually used to have it and remove it due to it being glitchy

“These were removed from Scratch because they were glitchy and the Scratch Team deemed them unimportant.”
https://en.scratch-wiki.info/wiki/Graphic_Effect#Other_Effects

I will be an Optimus and say that I support it and hope Scratch Team will make it less buggy.
