My suggestions on how to make Scratch a better website (NOT A OFFENSIVE TOPIC, JUST SUGGESTIONS ON THE SITE LIKE MODERATION IMPROVEMENTS, ETC.)

Ok, so, since the blocking incident happened a month ago, I decided that maybe it’s time to try and convince the Scratch Team that they need more improvements on moderation, 3.0, etc, to help make Scratch a better site. (NOT saying that the ST is useless for moderation, just making suggestions.)
Ok so, here we go on the suggestions.

-Better Moderation
By the blocking incident happening a month ago, I realized that the moderation NEEDS a lot improvements on it, this may seem offensive to the ST including @Za-chary, but you guys might understand, I know this place is not a place for intense emotions, I would follow that, but what about following truths? To make the ST follow truths, I think you might need to add a thing that indicates that they scan information if it’s real, or gossip. All of this may seem offensive to you guys, but you guys might understand.

-3.0 Improvements
I heard there’s multiple bugs on this site due to 3.0, we might need to improve the editor a little, just to get rid of the bugs, because for an example, @ButterBlaziken230 had issues with the editor because of 3.0 restrictions, maybe add a ability to move the screen on the left so that way people might get more used to 3.0 and make 3.0 feel like 2.0. So this is a thing that you might need to improve 3.0 a little bit.

Hopefully you guys, the ST, will reply to this, don’t say this is offensive, because it’s not, but please reply to this, all of this is true news, and I hope you accept those suggestions as soon as possible. Again, this is not offensive, thank you.

I doubt anybody will consider this offensive. No guarantees, though. I didn't find any of it offending.

Support for both. The moderation bot really could use some improvements (it has blocked some pretty trivial things), and the 3.0 editor just doesn't suit my workflow.

Infrequently active.

It feels weird to see how far we've come. I hope you're well, wherever you are!

Thanks for saying that! This is an urgent topic you know! And I could really appreciate some support!

Regarding “better moderation”, the Scratch Team is already doing a great job at moderating a whole website. There are literally like 4 or 5 community moderators here. 5 people to moderate a whole website. There are other ST members, of course, but not all of them moderate the site. One simply does not tell 5 people to moderate a whole website better. They also have bots and systems to help them, so they're trying their best to keep the site friendly after all. Again, bots aren't perfect and there is also a lot of room for improvement. If there's something wrong or if there was something done that shouldn't be done, use contact-us to calmly explain the situation. They check their email every day but have a lot of them, so it might take a few days at most to respond. Please consider that.

About the looks of 3.0 and the editor in general - that's something that is still being worked on. It certainly does not take one day to fix every problem Scratch has. 3.0 was only released about 5 months ago after all, and it was kinda rushed, so of course there are still lots of improvements that can be done. They have already fixed a bunch of bugs and made announcements about it, which you can see for yourself here and there. You can already also help by reporting bugs in the Bugs and Glitches forums.

I'll speak on the moderation part. Perhaps a viewpoint from a Scratch Team member could help — I'll try my best!

I think see what you're getting at with this. Are you asking the Scratch Team to simply determine whether a string of comments are real or gossip? Many times the Scratch Team does do this — it's not always a bot that does the blocking.

But whether the comments are real or gossip, some just do not belong on Scratch. As you mentioned, “intense emotions” are not okay for Scratch, simply because we believe that Scratch is not a good place to talk about these things. We may block someone in this case to make sure that they get the help they need, especially if what they're saying is real (and if it's gossip, then that's being dishonest, so it's not okay anyway).

Another example might be “Did you know user X was banned today?” Even if this comment is real, it is not okay for Scratch. In this case, we like to keep bans confidential, because some users might not want others to know that they got banned.

Another example is “User Y keeps bullying me.” Again, even if this is true, it's not okay to post about it. It is possible we may look into User Y's comments and see if they posted anything mean-spirited lately, but making this comment isn't a good idea. This may encourage other users to go onto User Y's profile and start attacking them for bullying — which may or may not even be true. If you ever encounter bullying from some user, just use the Report button on any comments or projects about it, and the Scratch Team will certainly see them.

Are there any other particular examples that you're concerned about? It's possible I didn't understand your suggestion completely — sorry if that's the case.

Also, your post was not worded in an offensive way. Constructive feedback like yours really helps. It was certainly better than the “WHY WAS I BLOCKED THE SCRATCH TEAM NEEDS TO DO BETTER” posts we see sometimes.

Ah, ok, good. Thank you for that, I see everything now, but, I was going to say, not responding to appeals, but I think it’s because of a limit of 50+ members and bots.

And there’s also a concern about the bugs and glitches in 3.0.

It would be nice if appeals were responded to more often. However, I don't have access to the appeals email. I imagine that there are other Scratch Team members who also don't have access to that email. As a result, there are likely fewer people who have access than you'd think, so responses can be sporadic at times.

I know this forum may be weeks past its last post, but TheNewOne2989 got yet ANOTHER community guidelines strike - and this time it's about a studio. They said it breaks the community guidelines, but didn't specifically cite which one.
YouTube has had the same issue…

Let me guess, reporting videos with CP (Combat Power or Club Penguin). You do know that CP also has a meaning not appropriate?
Also, can you make a forum topic to make it easier to find Matthew Weathers in fact 1 person can not find the studio?
