Bringing topics down
I've noticed that most closed topics that appear on the first pages aren't really useful and take up space that can be used for open topics with not so many replies…
I came up with a solution to this: bringing topics down!
A Scratch Team member can click on a button that says something like “Bring topic down” and it will appear on the last page.
It's a feature exclusive to the Scratch Team, so users cannot use it to bully or offend others.
“Why won't you suggest editing the code so that closed threads immediately go to the last page?” Did you read the first sentence carefully? "I've noticed that most closed topics…" Not all closed topics are useless.

Support, this would make a small amount of posts be seen more, and the useless/spammish topics won’t be seen.

I have a mixed point of view on this one.
On one hand, this could indeed be useful because this way, it would save more space for topics that need help or discussion. On the other hand, if we're gonna move all of the closed topics at the very bottom of the forum, then why not have a completely different section on the forums containing all of the closed topics? Would there be twice as much forums?

This has downsides though: what about a question in the QaS forum that has been closed because it has been answered, but still contains helpful info? What about a topic in the Bugs and Glitches forum that has reported a bug, but it has been closed because it isn't really a bug? It would be useful for other people that thought of it as a bug. These are just examples, but I think this suggestion would cause problems.

My suggestion is to activate the feature manually and exclusively by the Scratch Team, and they know what they are doing.

If you say “most” instead of “all”, it won't change the suggestion's result.“Why won't you suggest editing the code so that closed threads immediately go to the last page?” Did you read the first sentence carefully? "I've noticed that most closed topics…" Not all closed topics are useless.
See? My suggestion is to activate the feature manually and exclusively by the Scratch Team, and they know what they are doing.I think it was obvious. Just, wouldn't organizing useful and useless topics, give the ST more work?

“Most of the time, drinking water does no harm.” -> correctIf you say “most” instead of “all”, it won't change the suggestion's result.“Why won't you suggest editing the code so that closed threads immediately go to the last page?” Did you read the first sentence carefully? "I've noticed that most closed topics…" Not all closed topics are useless.
“Drinking water does no harm, ever.” -> incorrect (What if the water is 200°C?)
And yes, I understand that it won't change the suggestion's result and that this is related to your question below, but because of that, read my answer below.
Okay, let me think.See? My suggestion is to activate the feature manually and exclusively by the Scratch Team, and they know what they are doing.I think it was obvious. Just, wouldn't organizing useful and useless topics, give the ST more work?
Premise A: Before bringing down a topic, one has to think whether it's useful or not.
Premise B: The factors that determine its usefullness? are:
- The info there;
- Like you said, something that prevents a user from asking about a bug that isn't really a bug, or again, the information about that.

Support, this would help get closed topics that include commonly asked questions, rejected suggestions that are suggested, spam, and other useless topics out of the way.

Semi-support.
Firstly, this would really help frequent users on the forums. I like the idea a little bit.
But as IKEA Chair said —
— we could have a completely other page for closed pages.
I need to leave, sorry for the fast message!

Semi-support.^ Also semi-support for this reason, it would be better to have a seperate area for all the closed topics.

Would there be twice as much forums?…that is the problem. If there was a separate section for closed topics on the forums for each individual section with (mostly) open topics, that would be a bit of a waste of space. However, if there was one for all the open sections, it would be a mess.

Semi-support. What if the post's owner, after seeing their post was brought down, bumps it back up?
