I'm working on a design in inkscape, and have a gradient there. i already covered it to object to path, but when I bring in into scratch the gradient doesn't work. is there a way/something I'm doing wrong so that the gradient is imported too? thanks!

The Scratch vector editor is a very simple editor, so it won't recognize certain features (in this case, gradients). You'll need to do the gradient coloring in the Scratch editor, unfortunately.
