Why does Scratch Link need wifi?
it needs bluetooth, not wifi.
You can use wireshark to capture the network packets to see the requests. Maybe some connections to scratch.miet.edu website.

Why does Scratch Link need wifi?
Why does Scratch Link need wifi?It obviously doesn't NEED it but it (or the extension itself) has been programmed to expect it
if we ever get access to the source code - then we could work out what is going on with it

Why does Scratch Link need wifi?
So assuming I have no wifi, How can I use the Scratch 3.0 offline editor with the micro:bit? I guess it won't be possible since wifi is needed for Scratch Link since it has been programmed to expect it.

Hi microscratchy, I'm looking for similar Q&A.
I believe Scratch link uses network connection to somewhere. Your experience with offline editor gave me good information.
