Scratch Art Suggestions [layers and magic wand selection]

After the new release of Scratch 3.0, I realized that the “magic wand tool” wasn't one of the available tools to use to make art. Since people design a lot of sprites, I was hoping there could be layers. What I mean is layers for costumes. Also, please add the magic wand tool, it was very helpful.

Let's try this workaround
For each layer, group the parts of each layer together.
This way, each group will be different.
While editing, you can do it on a different sprite
For the magic wand tool, create a new sprite from the mw tool in the sprites tab, then copy and paste.

Do you mean each costume has a different layer? Or you can change which layer each part of the costume is on? You can do that with the forward, backward, front and back buttons.

Also, what did the magic wand tool do? I didn't do Scratch in 2.0 XD

What I mean is that for one costume, there are multiple layers, meaning everything is merged for just one costume. For example, I would have a costume and there would be multiple layers for that single costume. I would use them to separate different elements of the image and I could change the opacity of these layers.
The Magic Wand Tool works by selecting an area of solid color within an image. Once your selection is made, the Magic Wand Tool gives you multiple options for refining that selection. It is also used to remove backgrounds and other things. It was very helpful.

Support for bringing back the magic wand tool. While you can remove backgrounds just by using the fill tool and setting that to transparent, I think the magic wand tool had other uses.

Also, if you switch Bitmap to Vector, you can't use the fill tool properly

Support. Magic wand tool was helping delete the pieces I don't want. But now, I can't. Using fill with transparent isn't working much. Because it can't delete the gradient.

Wow, I didn't actually think anyone actually missed the magic tool wand, or at least that many people. If the magic tool wand is brought back, I'll be so happy. It would also help a lot. For the small amount of art I do for Scratch, I resort to using a different art app, (usually IbisPaint), and I then am forced to download it, upload it to Scratch, and then make sure it fits where it should. It's not a big deal, but can definitely be tiring.

I completely know what you mean. I've tried doing that, and it just didn't work.

In my opinion, the magic wand tool was a great thing. Since I was way younger, I didn't see the benefits of the magic wand tool. Once I started getting into digital art however, I learned more about and how it was so helpful. Now once I return to Scratch 3.0 I learn that not only is it gone, it doesn't even have a replacement. I was hoping today that I could use it to remove a green screen on a gif I have, but I soon remembered it wasn't a thing anymore. It really needs to be brought back.
