I have been scratching on the offline version for around 2 years, and I joined the online version because I wanted to try out cloud variables. Then I found out only scratchers can do that, not new scratchers. ☹️ So how do I become a scratcher. I already uploaded 7 of my games. Plz help!

To become a Scratcher, you will need to be active on the online version of Scratch for around 2 weeks. Be sure to be active throughout the community, share a few projects, maybe join a few studios? You'll get a message telling you how to become a Scratcher shortly after that.

I got the big notification after completing the following:

• I shared 2 projects
  

• Made 500+ forum posts
  

• Made ███ comments
  

• Loved and favorited █ projects
  

• Was active pretty much every day.
  

Of course though, when I got the button on my profile, I outright refused it. I'm staying a new Scratcher, and I'm proud of it.

Anyway, I hope this fills you in on some of the criteria needed to become a full Scratcher :)

I got mine (I mean @congyingzhou) at 1 month

Strategy: wait and be active+share projects

What are studios for?

Studios have been used for

• Storing shared projects
  Allowing people to find projects like Open MAPs to joi or completed MAPs
  Role Playing or RP for short
  

I don't know what it was originally for however.

Please don't derail the topic. I think creating your own thread in questions about Scratch would be better.

Also, studios are also used for competitions.

And I create loads of cool scratch games

I recently became a scratcher like a day ago, to become one you can either be very active but I made a project with a lot of code which I think makes you become a scratcher faster

Do you have to like or favourite projects and join studios to become a proper scratcher.

To be a Scratcher, you must be active on at least 3 days a week for two weeks. After that has been fulfilled, you will be converted to Scratcher as soon as you have 2 projects shared.
