Are deleted projects REALLY deleted?
The other day, I clicked on the “Delete Account” link by accident. In the menu that followed, it showed the gallery “Some of your projects.”
On closer inspection, the projects in there were the oldest of my projects, and they were all ones that I had moved to the trash, and deleted from the trash.
What's more, when I clicked the link to access the project, it worked, and there was my project! It didn't show up in “My Stuff,” but it was still there. The “Share” button didn't work. (because it was deleted.)
This of course, arises the question, are deleted projects REALLY deleted?

It's possible that Scratch will keep a record of the game's title and thumbnail, but not the actual game.

Yeah, they log everything. The same way they can retrieve deleted projects (that you made online) can also be used to get those that are owned by deleted accounts.

Which might be because your account was deleted. If it was, then you have 48 hours to recover it, though your projects can still be viewed. Also, if you delete a project, and you want to recover it, then you can go to the ‘Trash’ section in ‘my stuff.’ However if you click ‘Empty Trash,’ then the Projects you have deleted are gone forever. Anyway, if none of this applies to what’s happening, then it’s possible your account has been hacked, or that scratch/you device has/had a bug. If that is the case, you could check the scratch discussion forum on bugs and glitches, or check your computer. Hope this helps! It's possible that Scratch will keep a record of the game's title and thumbnail, but not the actual game. No, the project actually worked, I could play it, and even see the code in the editor! Yup, the “Deleted Projects” section keeps all the projects in there unless you click on the button for clearing that section by typing in your password.

Well it is the internet so nothing can ever REALLY be deleted.

To delete something on your computer with no trace:
- use specialized software. I like to use Eraser, because instead of just deleting it from the recycle bin it also overwrites the memory location with random other stuff.
On the Internet, it's a different story.
