Avengers Endgame is an interesting movie, from a story structure perspective. In most stories of it's kind are about preservation. It's about stopping the bad guys from doing bad things, from causing destruction, saving the world and whatnot. However, Endgame is about restoration, it's about bringing back what was lost when the heroes failed.
