Would be helpful if the function to rename broadcast or delete them is available. Just like how we can rename/delete selected variables.

I can see where you're coming from, it's a neat idea. And of course, whenever I might feel the need to rename a broadcast, it would be simple if I could do some sort of right-click system with it.

However, I'm not sure it's entirely needed, since broadcasts are pretty much handled internally within the project. For variables, at least you are able to show them in the editor, so if you needed to rename them for the sake of the player's view, the current system handles it just fine.

Definitely support. No reason not to. It's a feature simple enough to the point where ‘necessity’ shouldn't matter, it would just be convenience for the coder. The workaround, or at least what i imagine it to be, would be quite tedious.

In the Suggestions forums, necroposts don't exist as long as the user is contributing to the discussion, which @Mr_PenguinAlex appears to be doing.

This is similar with the Things I'm Reading and Playing forums.

I totally support this. I have wanted to rename or delete broadcasts before (mostly on my school account) and feel this would be very useful.

Support! It might be used to choose prettier names for existing broadcasts.

Support. message1 is the one most users dislike. And also I would like the option of deleting because of that.

Support if it's like deleting variables and lists, where if you select the drop-down and scroll to the bottom there'll be options to rename and delete the variable/list/broadcast. Sometimes you'll want to rename a message without having to make a new one, replace all the existing ones, and wait for the old one to delete. Having to wait for a message to get deleted by itself is really annoying.

Actually, I've been irked by this before. If we can rename variables, I want to be able to rename broadcasts. (OK not perfect logic but yeah) I might remember this being in 2.0, and it's nice if you accidentally misspelled a broadcast or chose the default one (“message1” or something), you could always go back and rename it. Support.

Support. Sometimes you give a broadcast a bad and confusing name, and you use it in multiple places. A little while later, you think of a better name, but it's a pain to make a new broadcast and go to every single place you used the broadcast and change it. Plus, this feature also existed in Scratch 2.0.

By that logic, we should remove the ability to rename custom blocks because the player can't see them.
