You’re fine to use this to say your opinion on things, . I agree. I might change the wording a little just to make minor by the shop’s standards just to be more specific. A bit confused by the wording of everything, but I think that people should only get a warning if they do only a small thing wrong and tiny mistakes should never lead to being kicked from a shop.

I like the idea of the shop benefits. It’s too late to put it in the megavote, but I will almost certainly set it up as a seperate vote afterwards by the time campaigning starts which will (probably) happen on the 8th June.

This is a repost because the vote has begun

Mega-vote on section 11, section 12 and changes to section 2.
As the SPA has had a period of multiple owners and threads, I have decided to provide a vote on some features for the long term of the SPA based on our previous, huge state. The current period of time provides us with an opportunity to step back and introduce some laws for the longevity of the SPA. These will be voted on in the official SPA voting thread (this) on the 00:00 UTC 25th May 2019. We will vote on it based on shop representation (equal representation), so only shop owners will be able to vote. Of course, if this section is passed that will no longer be the case for most votes. Anyway, here are the laws + explanations on why they will help the SPA.

Addition to Section 2: Shop/Representative requirements.
2.9: Shops must select 1-3 representatives based on their size.
2.9.1: The amount of representatives will be judged by hellounicorns2 or the president every 2 weeks.
2.9.1.1: All shops will be checked for size as well as activity during this time.
2.10: Shop representatives may be asked to vote in elections or votes.
2.10.1: For the sake of simplicity sometimes votes will be hosted based on equal representation, however this will not be used for important votes.
2.10.2: The drafter of the policy will decide whether the vote is passed via representatives or shops.

This proposition is mainly to introduce a suggestion made by LoLa. It allows for larger shops to have a good say in voting but stops them from being the only decision makers. Of course, all members matter . It also allows for equal representation to be used where necessary for a more simple vote.

Section 11: Shop Charter (credit to Co49 for the suggestion a while back)
11.1: Workers must be able to request leave from their shop.
11.1.1: Shops should grant most leave requests.
11.1.2: A good explanation must be given for rejecting a leave request (in exceptional cases).
11.1.3: Workers must not be penalised for being inactive during their leave.
11.2: Shops must not act maliciously towards one another.
11.2.1: Shops must not try to actively damage the reputation of one another.
11.2.2: Shops must not lie about other shops or workers of other shops.
11.2.3: Shops must not actively try to start flame wars with each other.
11.2.4: Shops must not steal work from each other.
11.2.5: Shops must honour partnership deals between each other.
11.3: Shops may dismiss workers for good reason.
11.3.1: If the wrongdoing by a worker is minor, at least one warning must be given and time to improve before the worker is dismissed.
11.3.2: If the wrongdoing by a worker is grievous or malicious, dismissal may take place with no warning.

This was made by Co49 while we were in elections last year, and I honestly don’t know why we didn’t vote on it back then. It keeps our community friendly and allows for some simple rules for our members to follow.

Section 12: Profile notifications
12.1: Shops have complete control over whether they receive a profile comment for important events.
12.1.1: Getting notifications is completely optional and will not affect a shop’s status as a member.
12.2: During elections and crucial votes all representatives and shops will be notified regardless of whether they choose to have notifications or not.
12.3: These notifications will be sent out by members.
12.4: Random numbers to avoid spam must be used.
12.5: A message at the end of each notification will be left giving people the option to opt out immediately.
12.5.1: If this happens the person supplying the notifications must notify hellounicorns2 of the username of the person opting out.

Idek why you wouldn’t want this, profile comments are completely optional except for major votes. I just think that simple things like this should still be listed in the rules.

Hello, I'm AFNNetworkK12.
I am a nice, peaceful, and modern person. I am running for president of the SPA because it seems like the SPA is not keeping up with the evolution of the requests forum. I would like to bring pride, awesomeness, peace, and evolution. Look, now there are now “currencies” and “companies”. I would like to make SPA more currency and company friendly. I don't want fights. I want pride. I want to provide more services to shops, I want to keep up with the big stuff. I promise to make SPA more modern by making SPA more friendly to currencies, companies, and whatever's coming next. I know the name is “Shop Partnership Association”, but it is our time to change. Providing formatting, tips, and working with the shops more often, I know what's best.
