Hi everyone. i'm currently working on porting Sonic 3D Blast to Scratch and since the levels are WAY too big to import the entire map into the project editor, i thought of splitting the maps in 256x256 level chunks. Obviously, selecting every 256x256 area and saving it to a new file takes forever in every picture editor, and so i was wondering if there could be a software to split an image in pieces and save them as new images. In less words, a tileset maker software. Do any of you know a program like this? If you do, please let me know: it would be a lot useful. You could even get credited in the game!

May I suggest Cosmigo Pro Motion? There is a free version that may support tilesets, but if you're looking for something free you can try Slate. It's also a pixel editor at the same time.

Support this idea. The extra functionality would be useful.

You can't do that. You should create a new thread for every individual idea you have, not jam them all into one thread. Makes finding your suggestions easier.
