Transparency Slider
So I want to make a thumbnail with some parts transparent. But the only way for me to do it is break the thumbnail down to several sprites for the ghost effect. Transparency slider would be a great step for thumbnails and logos. Hope you add it. Thanks!

Support.
I believe you used to be able to change the Opacity slider in Scratch 2, but this feature was removed in Scratch 3. This would be a very useful feature.

+1 red spot on the knee
Why don’t the ST make me see how many seconds left till I can post again hence the 60-sec rule

I don't remember an opacity slider. You could pick a gradient color(with 2 colors) and make one of them the completely transparent color. This still works. Support.

I still think it would be useful to have, however. It should be noted that you can do this in many other paint editors, so if it's not added you can always try to use one of them.

How do you pick a gradient color in 3.0 and make it transparent? What didn't you understand? I assume you understood at least some of what I said.?I don't remember an opacity slider. In the color picker, click on one of the gradient options above the color slider. Then for one of the colors, pick the completely transparent color(white box with red line). It'll then be partially transparent when you fill or draw with the color.

But I want a complete perfect semi-transparent rectangle. How can I do that (remember the rectangle has to be perfect with 90 degree angles)? In the color picker, click on one of the gradient options above the color slider. Then for one of the colors, pick the completely transparent color(white box with red line). It'll then be partially transparent when you fill or draw with the color.

As far as I know, you can't with either the Scratch 2 editor or the Scratch 3 editor. But I want a complete perfect semi-transparent rectangle. Support!! I absolutely need an opacity setting in Scratch.
Though if this feature were added it would have to be in the Scratch vector editor. (I can't think of a way for opacity to be compatible with bitmap…)

It looks like this is a duplicate topic of this one over here, so I’ll close this thread to keep the conversation all in one place.
