I mean the crew have said that the “story” of the previous seasons is basically done and we're moving on to a new one, so I think there's a lot of potential for what we could get next.

Whatever's next won't necessarily be a side story. The show could focus on new threats, new characters, or even different aspects of Steven's life. A lot of people have predicted there'll be a time skip, while one of the more interesting bits of speculation I've heard is that they might have Steven and the gems going on more space adventures. There's a lot of directions they could take the show from here, now that the main arc is complete.

I think it died off when I and a few others lost interest in Steven Universe and moved on to other things.

I stayed with the show for a good while- until season 5 came along and all those weird back to back plot twists came and for me the quality just…decreased.

Good times, though. The original thread was a classic.

surprised to see people being nostalgic for the OG thread, from my memory it was kind of an awful nightmare. like you couldn't go 3 pages without a massive flamewar erupting. there were maybe a few fun times but i feel it was mostly bad

actually yeah the second thread was what i was thinking of. i was there in the first thread under a different account and i don't remember it being too bad on that respect, but it wasn't amazing either.

As much as I feel nostalgic for the original topic, I hate it as well, it reminds me of when I used to be “RaNdOm XD!!!!!!” back then.
