micro:bit is not connecting to Scratch. (Slightly advanced)
My browser / operating system: Windows NT 10.0, Edge 44.17763.1.0, Scratch Link 1.1.11 (c1eadfb) Win32NT
The micro:bit connected to Scratch Desktop and Scratch online fine in early 2019, but since March (I think) it is now showing me:
I don't have this issue currently, but if you do and you're going to post here, follow the discussion to make sure you get notified when someone responds. You might also get help just by scrolling down.

I'm pretty sure since updating to Windows version 1809, it's changed features to the point where Scratch has trouble with Bluetooth. I have checked many requirements, including…1. Make sure you have Scratch Link installed and running
2. Check that Bluetooth is enabled
Try again | Help
- Bluetooth on
- micro:bit plugged in
- Scratch Link running (I have not checked it for updates, though)
- HEX file on and updated

It might have to do with the fact that you are using a browser made 26 years ago, try considering upgrading to a new os such as windows 8 or windows 10. I use windows 8.1.
Edit: I just realised that windows NT 1.0 was 26 years ago, windows NT 10 was only 4, I dont know what the problem is but it could have to do with your browser or computer.

Try restarting windows, edge, or your computer. If it still happens maybe try installing a browser such as firefox or chrome, it also could just be an error on scratch's behalf.

Thanks for the suggestions, though!

I'm going to move it to the “Physical World” forum. The “Questions About Scratch” forum may have more topics, but doesn't necessarily mean that everyone looking at that section is well-knowledgeable to help you out. That's why we have different forum sections. It's possible you will get better help in the Connecting to the Physical World forum.I know, I just chose this forum because it has more topics.

Maybe it is not your case but let me share the trep I fell into.
The HEX download link provided by the Scratch page explaining the procedure is actually to a zip file and not to a hex file.
What I did was to send the zip file directly to the bbc microbit drive. Nothings strange happens other than I was unable to connect the Scratch to it :-(
The page should explicitly mentionthat the file must be unzipped before. Its easy to forget that step :-(
Already connected.

I agree with Gdawg1007's first post. Try getting a better internet browser - I recommend Google Chrome!

micro:bit is not connecting to Scratch. (Slightly advanced)
Hi elders on this thread,
I'm from Developing Scratch Extensions >> Problem with BBC Micro:bit extension : Bluetooth not connecting.
It is much strange. I've never succeeded to connect Scratch3.0 on Win10 to Micro:bit via Scratch-link extension.
I feel some guys on this and linked thread still have same issue and gave up to ask.
I tried with 2 different Windows10 PCs, 3 different Edge, IE, Chrome browsers, 2 different Scratch-link versions. All combinations were failed.
Windows10 Pro
10.0.17134
Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth (BLE)
I tried another Win10 desktop with BLE dongle, and failed.
Scratch
Scratch 3.0
https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/editor
Browsers
Microsoft EdgeHTML 17.17134
Chrome Version 74.0.3729.169 (Official Build) (64-bit) No Flash version
Scratch-link
1.1.85.0 from Github
1.1.46.0 from official, both failed
Micro:bit
scratch-microbit-1.1.0.hex installed
Daplink Interface Version: 0250
Some questions, please help me.
+ How to narrow which has issue BLE or Scratch-link?
+ Which is correct Micro:bit is paired or not?
+ Scratch-link should be launched as admin?
+ Any security config needed?
+ What launching sequence? 1-2-3-4? or any?
1. Micro:bit power on
2. Scratch-link starting
3. Micro:bit pairing
4. Scratch3.0 starting
+ Anyone tried with multiple Micro:bit ? I have only one. Should I buy more?
