About another AU that isnt Sonic 4Ever….

In the order of Eggman AU, Tails actually has an interesting backstory.

Basically, on a walk with his family, he fell off a small ledge and injured his tail. He was rushed to hospital, and needed urgent surgery. But the surgeon made a mistake that would end up in Tails's favor. He accidentally added another tail during the transplant.

Anyway, back to Sonic 4Ever.

Tails has a birth defect known as “Dual Tail disease”. It is incurable, untreatable, but Tails did manage to find the positives of it!
Sonic's blue color is due to his great-great-grandpa also having a blue color.
Amy has “Mental unaging syndrome”. Basically, it prevents her from mentally aging further than 6 years 152 days.
Knuckles has…. well, I don't know.

And Kirby can't really learn any other languages other than puffish (the dream land main language).

He is a musicial genius, and hosts concerts every month.
He is also an avid gamer, just like Sonic and Tails!

I JUST REALIZED SOMETHING.

Each hedgehog of the Sonic and co's ancestry comes from a different region of Europe. Sonic is British (West Europe), Shadow is German (Central Europe), Amy is Norwegian (North Europe), and Silver is Italian (South Europe).

Now all we need is a hedgehog from East Europe… (Okay, if Scourge counts as a main hedgehog, then he can come from Hungary.)

Sonic, Tails and Amy are from the Prower Family. Their mother's name is yet to be revealed. She works as an assistant teacher at New Emerald City elementary school. But their dad is a completely different story. He is a high paid scientist, and the reason the family is wealthy. But one problem. The family had contracted a birth disease known as Random Fur disease. It's the reason Sonic's fur is blue. The disease rarely does anything to the fur. Anyway… next time…

Over billions of years, Mobians have been replaced by a series of futuristic intelligent lifeforms that dominate Mobius. By 4.5 billion forms, dwarf-like bipedal creatures the size of Chao, yet smarter than Mobians, have dominated former Mobius. They come in 107 types, each representing an animal class. To save Earth from being burned up by the Red Giant incoming in 5 billion years, the creatures have built 7 VERY humongous rocket thrusters, each on one of the 7 areas of the future supercontinent and powered by a Chaos Emerald, and are propelling Mobius from the Solar System to the Alpha Centauri system with the help of aliens.

Yep, this was inspired by The Wandering Earth, ultimate proof that the Chinese can be creative. I like to use my Sonic fanverse to experiment with areas of science fiction and fantasy.

A few facts about my main Sonic AU (called Sonic 616):

Sonic and Super Sonic are separate beings inhabiting the same body, similarly to how it was in STC. Super Sonic began to exist after Sonic was shot with Eggman's Chaos Control Cannon when the hedgehog had all of the Chaos Emeralds in his possession. This happened during Sonic's adventures in Westside Island. Super Sonic's methods of getting the job done are much more extreme than his blue counterpart, but he has the same set of morals as Sonic. One of Super Sonic's abilities is that he can run faster than the speed of light.

Metal Sonic has a powerful second form, which resembles mainstream Neo Metal Sonic. In this form, Metal Sonic can go twice as fast as in his base form. Metal used this form to fight Sonic, but was soundly defeated by Super Sonic.

One of this universe's OCs is called Zit the Hedgehog. He is a hedgehog who resides in Mystic Cave Zone, which is located under Hill Top Zone. The first time Zit met Sonic was during Sonic's adventures in Westside Island, when Sonic and Tails fell into Mystic Cave due to Eggman's careless drilling. After a brief fight, Sonic and Zit became friends.

Knuckles' tribe.
Angel island, central jungle. The Alightri tribe. The tribe's village was where Knuckles was born and raised. He was known as “Strongman.” He lived there until he was 13. Then, the chief of the tribe died. He was tested to be the new chief, in a gruelling way. He had to jump off the island, and glide back on. He failed. He fell. The tribe presumed he was dead, and moved on. He lay unconcious for five days. On the fourth day of April, 3124, Sonic and Tails found him on the edge of South Island. Knuckles woke up, but there was one glaring problem. Amnesia. He had hit his head real hard. He could only remember what happened seconds before he was knocked out. Sonic and Tails helped Knuckles regain the basic ability to walk, and read. Knuckles eventually figured out his main method of defence: His strength. He nicknamed himself Knuckles.

Lil' thing; I'm gonna associate eurobeat with Silver the Hedgehog, because both style and him are Italian.

And maybe a little bit with Sonic, because he's of British descent and eurobeat has British origins too.

I've had this topic on my radar for a long time now… Maybe it's time to actually contribute, hmm~~
* My universe is , to put it gently, a bit of a dumpster fire at the moment. I'm rewriting a ton of stuff so things're bound to change at some point…

Cross-overs are a massive part of my AU/s. Certain characters have lore involving different franchises (ie. Silver, Tails, Blaze, Stella and a few OCs wielding Keyblades) and a couple big stories fleshing out these characters are cross-over stories with canon characters from other universes playing leading roles in the story. Honestly, the Kingdom Hearts example is pretty much perfect because not only does that series play a huge role in the collective universe overall, but tons of concepts from that series are incorporated in various ways in other worlds. (Sonic's world/multiverse and a bunch of other worlds are all in one universe.) World-hopping is a very regular occurrence.

A few smaller tidbits I thought would be interesting–

– Mobian birds have two different primary genes: winged and wingless. Heavy concentration of one or the other in a particular species is rare, though wingless is dominant overall. (literally just came up with this because it feels wrong to have wingless birds and I wanted an explanation for it)

– Because of the way Mobians were first born (I use the Pre-SGW Archie Comics' explanation– alien Xorda gene-bombed the planet and Mobians were formed from the aftermath), certain animals became bizarre hybrids after the gene pools melded. Certain Mobians born shortly after could have the genetic makeup of any number of creatures, to the point where some were horrific animal combinations with no discernible species. A generally accepted theory is that this is how the first “hybrid-class” Mobians came to be (ie. griffons, manticores, cockatrice, hippogriff and so on).

– All “mythical” Mobian species have access to a type of “Pseudo-Form” that transforms them into larger, stronger, more “bestial” form, a form reminiscent of actual animals. In this state their abilities are enhanced, but not to the degree of a Super-Form. This, combined with the fact that this “Super” state is much more readily accessible than a Super Form, has rendered it to be called a “pseudo-Super Form”, often abbreviated to “Pseudo-Form”. However, like Super Forms, this requires a great amount of energy and will quickly wear down a user.
Basically, a Mobian dragon in this state would look like this, a Mobian phoenix would look this, a griffon like this and so on. Interestingly, experiments on an undisclosed subject of Black Arms origin showed that they too were able to obtain this form, turning them into a dragon-like monster.
I haven't come up with a name for this form yet so if you have any suggestions I'm open to hear 'em. Thinking of just calling it “Beast Form” though.

Rouge is the only one of the Sonic and co that is left handed. Shadow is rather ambidextrous. Everyone else is right-handed.

In Sonic: Order of Eggman, there are three power rings. These are not replacements for the chaos emeralds, just… I don't know. They are: Flight, Phase, and Steel. The flight ring allows flight until the ring is taken off. The Phase ring allows for phasing through walls and ceilings at will. Combined with the flight ring makes you basically a ghost. The Steel ring makes you weigh more, allowing you to walk underwater, and makes you basically invincible. Combined with the phase ring, you can walk underwater and phase through objects. Basically the caps from Mario 64.

Also, for the Sonic 4Ever origins….

The seed of Sega was sewn in 3058, at that time, they were known as Standard Games, and they made training games for the South Island army, later publically released. They eventually decided to make consumer products, and in 3071, they renamed to Service Games, otherwise known as Sega. They began making arcade machines, with Pong-Tron, in 3073. They kept on making games, and then Atari happened. Their games were way more graphically cool than Sega's. So Sega decided to release the Master System. It was an 8 bit powerhouse. It sold more than 15,000,000 units. Sega then released the equally successful Genesis (named mega drive on westside to avoid legal issues), which was followed up by the Saturn and dreamcast. All of them were successful, and the dreamcast is still getting games for it, even in 3125!

The dimensional Portal.

Super Sonic and regular Sonic co-exist in the same body, much like in STC. In other words, weird stuff ensues!

Sonic's “Sonic Wind” move, unlike it's mainstream counterpart, is a boost-type move that propels Sonic long distances, kind of like actual wind. It's basically an anti-gravity, more short-lived version of mainstream Sonic's boost move.

Knuckles might be part Jamaican. Zit's main weapon is a weaponized blowtorch. Also, should Shadow exist in my Sonic universe?
