Hollow Knight [Official Topic]
Ah- good!Don't worry – it's impossible to miss it. You can actually get the other endings without missing the best one (the game reloads your save from right before you end the game, and you'll still be able to explore and complete what you need to access the best ending.I guess it's late-game stuff then? Nothing I can miss early game?Is there anything specific I have to do to get the best ending in this game? I've heard that it depends on how much of it you complete (and if so I want to start on that early), but I'm not sure.I think it's something to do with a specific charm and/or the DN.

Flukenest (with shade soul)
Shaman Stone
yeah just that, it's 6 notches
Spam the shade soul/vengeful spirit, and watch (get it?) them tumble
Also, here's that monstrosity at work.
Anyways, I'm thinking of exploring Deepnest a bit more (even though I dislike it) and maybe enter the Queen's Gardens (?).

My charm build was…My build for the Watcher Knights:
Flukenest (with shade soul)
Shaman Stone
yeah just that, it's 6 notches
Spam the shade soul/vengeful spirit, and watch (get it?) them tumble
- Grubsong
- Weaversong
- Sharp Shadow
- Dashmaster
The two pairs synergise wonderfully.
Grubsong and Weaversong: Weavers gather soul with each hit, and attack for you
Sharp Shadow and Dashmaster: The latter strengthens the former's purpose
These with the idea of ‘shadow-dashing’ through the Knights when necessary (plus the trick of crushing one with a chandelier, reducing the number from 6 to 5) created a wonderful build.
Also, here's that monstrosity at work.

A useful note-to-self and everyone else for that matter
Never, and I mean NEVER mindlessly run into THK (The Hollow Knight) straight after your last Dreamer.
I only did so as I was in a ‘I feel ridiculous I’m going to throw myself up against things even though I know it's a bad idea' mood.
Thanks to the Watchers, I got in very, very high spirits. High to the point I was half considering things, half not.
I dashed downstairs to show my sister @AmeliaLovesDeltarune in this silly mood and didn't take it seriously at all.
Well, I barely lasted a minute or so- it didn't help I wasn't concentrating.
Never again.

You'll get it eventually! THK isn't an impossibly difficult battle – just like any other boss, my suggestion is to focus on learning how to dodge their attacks, then figure out when you have opportunities to attack. Although I recommend persistence in learning THK, since they're a particularly readable foe and it's quite satisfying to learn how to dodge their every move, you can always come back later if you prefer – there's probably still a large host of things around Hallownest you've yet to discover, not to mention furthering the direction of the other ending. (Of course, like I mentioned earlier, none of these things are missable, even if you defeat THK.)

no more Queen's Gardens for now…
That was pretty crazy…
At least I beat The Collector today!
I also started the Godmaster stuff.
I started Grimm Troupe when I got the dream nail right away… but I haven't really done anything for it.
I found like 10 grubs today thanks to the Collector's Map

You'll get it eventually! First Ending Runthrough
25/2/19 - 15/4/19
I did it.
I've defeated THK.
Somehow.
I really went in with the same combination as I did for the Watcher Knights:
Weaversong/Grubsong/Dashmaster/Sharp Shadow

It was really just a wild spam of Abyss Shriek near the end of it.
I was shocked, lacking the usual joyful feeling of accomplishment.
But that ending only pushed my shock further.
I shall continue playing this, as there's still much more…
…but the shock still resides as I write.

It feels…empty.

I did it.
I've defeated THK.
Somehow.
I really went in with the same combination as I did for the Watcher Knights:
Weaversong/Grubsong/Dashmaster/Sharp Shadow

Hollow Knight [Official Topic]
I started a Steel Soul run previously..(I was gonna say this a few weeks ago xD)
I'm just happy I didn't die on Hornet Protector..
I'm heading to the Fungal Wastes now to get the mantis claw but I might beat the Mantis Lords later, when I have an upgraded nail.
I'm also trying to beat Failed Champion since I want the awoken dream nail so that I can get parts of Kingsoul
And on my main save file, (not steel soul) i'm planning to go back to Queen's Gardens so that I can get to Traitor Lord!

I'm being pushed to the brink of madness by the White Palace.
To be specific, I'm currently on the bench right between the tower of Wingmoulds I spent an hour on figuring out a strategy for and the horrendous merciless gauntlet above.
