Thanos snapped his fingers and half of the universe disappeared. The Thanos Cat icon refers to how it had the same effect after the release of 3.0. The studio can be found here.
(personally, I'm a 3.0 supporter)

I think it's because so many Scratchers quit after the release of 3.0

It's a way to protest 3.0. I think the studio that started it was called “THANOS SNAPS AWAY HALF OF SCRATCH,” meaning Thanos snapped away half of Scratch's users after 3.0.
