Official Monster World changelog

01.15.2021 - v.1.2
  • Added a draft mode. Type in “draft” as your seed to access it. Draft mode makes you start your run by choosing 1 out of 3 Abilities, 15 times to play the run with.

06.07.2020 - v.1.1.4
  • Changed the wording on “Malfunction”-Skill. It now correctly states that it gives Block equal to the amount of Abilities in your Discard Pile.
  • Changed Energy cost of “Black Hole”-Skill from 2 to 1
  • Fixed a bug where you wouldn't be able to play any Abilities after activating Black Hole

12.13.2019 - v.1.1.3
  • Added animations when Status Ability effects trigger (like Frozen, Poisoned and such)
  • Fixed Magic Shield and Chaos Trick damage negation triggering when you had exactly enough Block
  • Fixed Oil Lamp's discard screen triggering before all your Abilities were drawn
  • Fixed extra Abilities (that had the starting-Ability-costume) appearing in the Banished Pile when you were overdrawing Abilities while under the “Greed”-Status Effect, but had no Abilities left in your Draw Pile (this happened a lot in the Curse of the Drawer challenge)
  • Fixed Abilities stacking on top of each other while holding them in specific situations
  • Fixed the score not displaying the correct amount of Endless Loops
  • Fixed the wrong text appearing when the Poison Coating status effect was applied/removed (bug report by basilisk2004 )
  • Fixed the “Remove Ability” button in the shop stacking on top of itself, causing you to pay more every time. Also hopefully finally fixed shopkeeper floaty eyes. (bug report by Star_King109 )

  • Fixed a softlock when entering the shop sometimes
  • Fixed not getting the health-stat bonus heal at the end of your turn if you also had the late heal status effect

11.28.2019 - v.1.1.1
  • Fixed the same items showing up multiple times over the same run (FINALLY)

11.14.2019 - v.1.1
  • Added Endless mode to the game (to access it, click the “Endless” button that appears on the victory screen)
  • Endless Mode lets you continue your run, setting you back to the grassland, with stronger enemies and other challenging manipulations
  • Added animations for enemies that were missing them (The B-Squad, The Killer Bee Hive, Cybernetic Spider and Cecil)
  • If there are no more items left in the item pool, chests give you EXP instead
  • Fixed “Unknown”-events appearing when there were no events left to encounter

  • Fixed the speechbubbles being displayed under the Energy-Cost icons of Abilities

  • Fixed the shop still being accessible when abandoning a run while visiting the shop

  • The score at the end of a run now shows the Challenge number of the run (if you were playing a challenge)

  • Fixed a bug that caused the other enemies not to lose Stealth when the Plaque Shaman's Stealth Totem was defeated using an attack that hit all enemies

  • Fixed a bug that caused abilities to not be removed from the different “Piles” after using abilities like “Right-Handed Earthquake” (and many other bugs caused by the Scratch 3.0 update)

  • Fixed a bug that caused the animation of abilities flying to the discard pile (or any other place) to start from a completely wrong location when playing in fullscreen mode

  • Fixed a bug that made enemies not disappear when dying through the effect of one of the “Bladed” items
  • Changed the Energy-icon of unplayable cards to a padlock-icon

  • The event window will now hide when accessing your deck of abilities, the character sheet or the options menu
  • Fixed a few typing errors in the effects of abilities

12.21.2018
  • Nerfed Swamp Zombies a little by changing their Intent pattern and lowering their Max. HP
  • Nerfed Ichor Slime's Max. HP

12.20.2018
  • Fixed a bug causing you to not die when taking lethal damage to the “On Fire!” debuff

12.19.2018
  • Made the skip button on the loot and gain ability windows slightly transparent until hovered over
  • Nerfed Mantical Swarmers by making them spawn 2 Swarmers at the start of the battle, but then only 1 whenever there's 1 left (previously they summoned 2 more Swarmers when there was only 1 left)

12.18.2018
  • Fixed a few bugs with the Gallery view
  • Fixed a bug with liquid form, making you still take 1 damage when you would have exactly enough Block
  • adjusted the attack power of some Cave-biome enemies and changed their attack pattern to be more fair
  • Fixed a bug with not being able to die to card effects (like corrupted blood)

You missed something out! The change from ‘0’ in energy on unplayable cards to a padlock. This isn't in the changelog.

You're right, I added that in now. I'm not 100% sure anymore which exact update it was though, so I wrote it in the 27th of December. You wrote your post around that time^^'

You should probably make an Issue Tracker forum thread, for glitches and feature requests, so that the other forums don't get these as unrelated posts.

The “Input Seed” button lets you pick which seed you start a run with. The seed affects the random numbers in the game.

on the Scratch project page it says version 1.1.4 but this only goes up to version 1.1.3

Yup, he is. Since the Monster World is a preview, he will most likely not update unless some major problems come up.

Hey I did the tutorial again but sped through it and there was a glitch where it still showed the top bar where you have the abilities and the bottom one. Note: I did this on the TurboWarp and when i tried replicating it I didnt get the same result so it could just be something on my device

When removing cards from my deck in the shop, the overlay often messes up and shows cards for sale after the screen starts showing my deck.
