and remember not to vote before Flora and Jay have posted.

It's fine if you think you won't change your mind but please at least give them a chance to speak.

From now on votes that are posted before those two make their points will not be counted, and please stop the discussions lol

edit: people who post stuff that starts arguments, and people who reply to those posts, will get half a vote from now on

wow harsh punnyee
Sorry, Sunny, I really should've asked before posting…totally my fault, didn't intend to start an argument or anything. I feel really bad. You can discount my vote if necessary- no hard feelings
This is why I've never liked scratch/internet drama…so hard to communicate.. :P
no you're fine! since you didn't know whether to post or if you'd have time later on you shouldn't worry about it, that was just for everyone else
Oh good, thanks so much

I do, and so does Jay, but she can't until I do mine. I'll get mine here as soon as possible, most likely around 3:00pm EST today.

Hey everyone! This should get long, so sit back and sip some tea while reading Also, thank you for organizing this with Tray, Sunnyee.

First, let’s start with some math. I understand that, Jay used different numbers, but after my calculations I’ll disprove the numbers Jay gave.

All data used for these calculations came directly from Jay’s comments. She claimed to have am average WPM of 110 and that she wrote about 6 hours Monday through Thursday daily, 7 hours on Friday, and 8 hours over the weekend each day.

In one hour, Jay will write about 6600 words, as 60*110= 6600. We’ll go off of this for the rest of our calculations.

Monday-Thursday:
6*6600=39600, so Jay writes about this amount daily Monday-Thursday.
39600*4=158400, so Jay writes about this amount in total Monday-Thursday.

Friday:
7*6600=46200, so Jay writes about this amount on Friday.

Weekend:
8*6600=52800, so Jay writes about this amount each day of the weekend.
52800*2=105600, so Jay writes about this amount in total over the weekend.

Therefore, in one week, Monday-Sunday, Jay writes about 158400+46200+105600=310200 words. This means that in the whole month of March, Jay wrote: 310200*4=1240800 words, plus 46200+105600=151800 words from the Friday and weekend not counted in the four weeks. This makes 1240800+151800=1392600 words in total that Jay would have written in March, using 100% data from Jay’s very own comments.

Now, I understand that Jay has math done as well, and really the difference was a difference in numbers. Jay used the number “10000” as what she wrote in an hour. However, really, that’s not plausible in any way. First off, her WPM would have to be 10000/60=166.7 (about, I rounded as there was and infinite number of 6s). Now, a WPM 166.7, which I’ll now round to 167, is possible. It’s not breaking the world record, but it’s…. definitely not plausible for a young girl. Another thing is is that Jay claims to have a WPM average of 110, and 167? That’s a difference of 57. A difference of 57! That’s HUGE for a WPM! Even more is the fact that Jay said that she’s written 12,233 in an hour before, which is literary impossible unless Jay has nearly broken the WPM world record!, which adds to the non-believability of her numbers claimed.

Another thing bothers me. Jay hasn’t replied in a concise way to our points. In fact, there were only two times when she actually directly replied to me by quoting my comment and typing a reply. The first was asking why I placed a certain word in my post (the word was precisely), which is basically avoidance as she did not reply to any other part of my post. The second time that she replied to me was when I used all caps lock and yelled about the situation. I bet that at least 70% of the leaders who confronted Jay didn’t get a direct, concise response. In addition, in response to our math, Jay simply replied “ur math is wrong.” She didn’t provide proof as to why she was right and we were wrong, she just stated it. In fact, she even said “I don’t care if math proves me others, I wrote 2 million words and I know it.“ See how that sentence is…. iffy? I mean of course it’s fine to be defensive and defend the fact that you wrote a certain about of words, but honestly, it gets weird when Jay barely replied to anything else at all and one of her only real statements besides “.” or “” is “math doesn’t matter, what I say does.“ If I were in her position I’d be defending myself as much as I could, or at least replying to a new point every time I saw it. Not popping a joke or sarcastic comment and not replying to anything else in that comment after being sarcastic/joking. Jay, your attitude towards much of this and responses have only filled us with more suspicion, as multiple of us have stated multiple times!

It also bothers me that Jay doesn’t summarize what she wrote for those 2mil words. The most specific thing she gave us was “oh I was studying for a state test.” Yes, her reserves were titled. But am I really supposed to believe that Jay wrote TWO MILLION WORDS on HORROREO AND NORWAY? I mean okay Jay, it’s fine if you love those things. But your reserves can’t just be “essay on horreo, 1mil words .)” and “essay on Norway, 1mil words,” can they? I’d expect that you wrote other stuff within those reserves other than the titles of them, and we’ve already asked you several times to summarize what was within your reserves. You have never answered, as I said above all you have provided was the fact that you were studying for a state test.

Jay, we’ve been giving you chances to make yourself look more truthful or credible. We’ve offered you chances to prove yourself, but so far you’ve been ignoring us, joking around, avoiding the topic at hand, and being sarcastic attitude-wise, and have not been much better in explaining yourself. We have no idea what you’ve been writing and have been forced to guess past you saying “oh I write political stuff that I don’t wanna share!!!11!!” or “I write a lot at school!” or “I’ve been studying for a state wide test!” You being credible has been semi ruined by some of your outrageous claims, such as “I’ve written 12233 words in an hour before!“ or “IDC about math, what I says matter more,” as well as many contradictions in your statements (ex. “My average WPM is 110“ and “I typically write 10000 words in an hour”). What’s more, our math, which is different from your’s, when shown to you, was replied to with “well my math is right go look at it.“ Hopefully this small ending summary and the further elaboration above has, at least, in some way changed some of you guys’ mind or at least offered another perspective.

I’ll end by saying that I don’t believe Jay. I don’t. However, I do think that she wrote a large amount, just not 2000000 words. Currently I semi-believe that reducing it to 100k is a little low, but I think that we should negotiate the amount it will be reduced to later if option A wins. On one hand, if Jay was lying, 100k could be a good lesson. On the other, it’s probably lower than what she actually wrote. Either way, I vote for option A, with the condition that the amount it is lowered to can be negotiated. Thank you.

(Also Jay - if you were lying, I hope that if option A wins you’ll tell the truth and we MIGHT CONSIDER changing it to what you actually wrote.)

Oof sorry, but one last thing. I’d actually like to apologize to people in Romance cabin. One person’s decisions is affecting all of you, and that’s not fair. So I’m really sorry that all this is going on and that it has and possibly will negatively affect you guys.

Thank you if you read through all of that - it took about 45 minutes to type and I put a lot of thought into deciding what to say to represent all the people who agree with my beliefs. If you didn’t, I’d really appreciate if you did, but if you don’t have much time I’d recommend just reading from “Jay, we’ve been giving you chances to make yourself look more truthful or credible. We’ve….” until the end. Thanks to everyone, I hope that this will at least change your views on this a little bit if you disagreed/disagree with me.

~ Flora

I think the point of people having one post each to give their positions is specifically so arguments don’t break out in this thread like they do in the drama thread! Even if you have something to say to someone else’s post, speaking generally try to avoid doing so unless it is in your vote post to explain your vote, or for Jay in your final post. Flora and Ringtile and I, I know it’s tough to keep from speaking up but we should wait until it’s all over now, we’ve done our part!

I was letting jay know that she can't just say “oh well I'll reply and still have my official post.” she ether deletes her reply or it will become her official post

Maybe someone can race Jay on Typeracer, record her speeds on there, and then use them to find an average of her WPM rate so our math is more accurate? Copying words off a screen is slower than typing from memory, but for me it's a small difference of 10 WPM.
Maybe not, it's possible to hack Typeracer so the computer types for you. >_<

good idea- anyway if youre writing smth you still have to think of the plot as you go (you may have it done perfectly in your head but there might be an unexpected bump you have to write about on the go) so copying words off a screen would equal to your wpm while typing and thinking of a plot
pls tell me this makes sense
