Hello. *I was going to put something here, but nothing seemed to work*

About the Project
Basically, this is a service that broadcasts limited ‘tv’ through the Scratch cloud server. By tv, I mean animations, cause, ya know, file sizes. There will be five channels; each channel requires one variable for the current frame, and one for the current animation.
Um, that's about it.

How it works
Each channel has a specified position, and a specified frame, and a specifized animation. The user's project shows the correct animation, and sets it to the right frame.

What Needs to be Done
The cloud stuff is actually the easiest part. Other stuff
-Detecting users time zone, and having the things indicating when animations will play update according to that (pretty easy)
-Making the UI/UX (takes fairly long)
-Stringing little peices together (scary hard, as well as time consuming)

Afternetwork, could you please stop? Like, you aren't even related to this collab. Maybe they have an alt. Even if they don't, five years seems like enough experience to me. And, ya know, I get to decide, because it's my collab.

I coded with scratch 1.4 for 5 years until i created my scratch account

Right now, would you mind making a simple time zone detector? (Use the days since 2000 block.) If not, that's fine.

• Only 4 channels, because we will need one cloud var. for seeing if people are ‘New Scratchers.’ The new scratcher variable will be called ‘new_scratcher?’ Oops.
  
• We need someone who can act as a server. I guess I could, but what would be ideal is if anyone had a Rasberry Pi.

Info:
Cloud variables for frames will look like ‘frame.Num_ch1’
For current animations, ‘anim.Current_ch1’

Things that might happen:
Offline tv, or, really, just videos.
Advertisements for projects, scratchers, etc. to seperate the animations

Question: Will the time zone the user is in actually change what they get to see, or just change the time displayed

Also, the animations would have to be pen, right? Because we can only send text over the cloud.

It will just change the time that is displayed, so that they know when the things actually start.

You can only send numbers over the cloud… the number will be the current frame in the animation.

Ah. So the animation itself will be in the project, and then the cloud variable will only control when the animations are played.

Yeah. And which part the animation is at, so that everyone is watching the same thing at the same time.
