Is this game really gonna be massively multiplayer? If it is, I'm definitely interested in hearing more about the time mechanics and how those would work in that context

Yes, I'm not even sure how to do the time mechanics though for multiplayer of any kind, however I think checking if distance is less than x then apply time dilation.
