Although I had gotten to the end before, I just beat earthbound for the first time. (Before, I never actually got to Giygas, because I couldn’t get past all the final starmen in the cave of the past). I had an odd feeling at the end, like I didn’t want to let go of Ness and Paula. But eventually I realized that my time with the game is over so I went home and watched the credits. Which I do declare brought a solitary tear to my eye

I’m going to play M1 and then M3 again, but after that I think I’m done with playing them for a while. I don’t want to rob it of what makes it feel special, like listening to a favorite song 500 times until it becomes boring.

dude i cried like a baby as soon as i saw the credits roll, for some reason playing it again just wasn't the same to me, but at the same time i didn't want my adventure to be over.
