momo

There are several scratchers who have made projects and studios using the internet figure “momo”. Momo is an extremely scary horror figure that tells kids to commit suicide and to make themselves scared and unhappy. This is not what is tolerated on scratch. If you look up “momo” under the “trending” section in the search bar, you may find a few. Scratch is not the place for horror. Please do something about it.

I can confirm that that image does not belong on Scratch.

Please report any scary projects like this that you see. It's the only way the Scratch Team can do something about this.

While i agree that the Momo image is kinda freaky and isnt the best for little kids to be looking at, fortunately the whole momo suicide thing is fake, and is all one big hoax. The “Momo challenge” has spread rapidly but there are no reports of kids actually doing things, nor any reports of messages sent out targeting kids and tying to get them to harm themselves.

yeah but anyways though, with the rumors running rampant about momo, and the creepy nature of the image its self, it really shouldn't be here though.

Thanks for the summary - that lines up pretty well with our own thoughts on this current trend.

All - Please use the Report button on any projects or comments that you feel are too scary for Scratch.
