Ahahaha! Yes! This is the last time you will see Aspids. You will literally never see Aspids again and you definitely will not be magnitudes more frustrated when you, um, don't. (minor gameplay spoilers lol)

Apparently my Mathematics/IT teacher has played this himself.
Found out through me asking ‘how do I revise when I have such an obsession with HK that it reduces concentration?’
Finally, somebody else…
…excluding the friend who got me into it in the first place.

Where are you exactly?

I have absolutely no idea.

I do know that I'm maybe in the second area of the game? I've just been hopping around.

i also have no idea if I've met any important characters yet i'm so confused
The second area would be Greenpath - it's a relatively linear pathway, and most of it is spent simply walking and following around another character that barely makes a presence.

If you haven't made it there yet, the only real important characters are those in Dirtmouth, Cornifer, and the Last Stag, all found really early on in the game. If you have Cornifer's map of the Forgotten Crossroads, you'll want a compass, and spend the rest of your time just going places you haven't been yet, or those that are connected to the map. Once you've fought a boss and a new ability then Greenpath opens up to your west.

Yep, I believe I got there. I think I already fought that character who I was following though and now they don't like me, so do I just keep wandering around until something happens?

I've already found those three, so that's a good sign I'm on the right track, at least! I do have all the maps so far but I keep going off the edge, so it's not showing where I am. I probably have to keep running about; I may have missed some things. Is there anything really important you can miss that I should know of around that area?

Depends on what makes you into a sobbing mess, but I'd guess at least, umm, a hundred.

Oh.
Dear.
Well, thank you for telling me there ARE emotional things on the further end of the emotion spectrum…

Sometimes I lie in the bath and have a long scream to let out the frustration that I have thanks to this game.
It's very therapeutic.

Screaming is fun. I should give it a try.

There's a couple. Not too many, depending on how you are, but… There'll be a couple if you go out of your way to find them.

There's not really anything story-related around those parts. Greenpath has one entirely optional place to go to late in the game, but that's about it. If you ever don't know where you're supposed to go, the Elderbug in Dirtmouth will usually have little hints in his dialogue of where you should go. At this point he should be talking about the mushrooms deep underground. You might find an upgrade if you look for what he mentions.

Alright! Guess I'll be heading back then and seeing where I should go next. So I guess it's just an area meant to bridge the parts of the game, nothing important except how I lost all my money?

Then I'm guessing I don't get to rematch that area boss (who needs to go down right now) who ran away from me?

I know you don’t have to do it, but please, if you have…
Edit: if you're reading this I already did the whole switches thing and am facing off against the Lords.

Alright everyone, wish me luck.

After the Lords, I've decided I'm going right down into Deepnest!

Please do so, I've heard it's absolutely horrendous (in multiple ways).
am I overconfident about this
I hope not

Thanks to the friend who got me into this game and my instinct after he said ‘big yes’ of me asking if the title's foreshadowing, I have figured out The Knight and The Hollow Knight are separate.

For SOME reason one part of me thinks the Shade's theme is like an ice cream van's jingle, but for Geo instead.
There's always that one part of me.
Always, and I both love and hate it.
