To my knowledge, it's fine if it's on Scratch and you give credit. I haven't heard anyone get in trouble for using copyrighted music on Scratch, but correct me if I'm wrong.

I’m sure you can. It’s not like a record company would get mad over their music being used in a project from an educational website. In fact, I’ve seen the Scratch Team feature multiple projects with copyrighted songs.

There is one correction I'd like to add to what people have already said. If you put copyrighted music in your project, you must have something else in your project to accompany it.
That is, a project that just has the music in it isn't okay. A platformer that has the music playing in the background is fine, though.

I haven't heard anyone get in trouble for using copyrighted music on Scratch, but correct me if I'm wrong. We have come across a few cases of that, actually. Notably, the situation described in the posts above mine is one that can potentially land you in legal hot water (assuming the Scratch Team hasn't taken down the project already and notified you about it).
It is possible to use copyrighted music under a case of Fair Use, but it has to fit certain criteria. A good rule of thumb when it comes to determining this on the Scratch website: Your project should still be playable if there is no music. A game without music is still a game. An animation without music is still an animation. But a music library project without music isn't a music library.
Mind you, it is still possible for a company to send down a takedown notice for a project even if the project does fall under Fair Use. You could opt to make a counterclaim in those cases, but using music with a CC license or music that falls under public domain is the best way to go to avoid the risk of any takedowns in the future.
