Scratch 3 Extension for EV3 Does not work
Has anyone go this extension to work?
I have 25 EV3's and it is not connecting to any of them. I got it to work 1 time, and now it will not connect.
I will not work on PC or Ipad.
Scratch Link is running.
Is there a know issue?
Where do I go to get help, I have posted many scratch issues but don't get any responses, is this the right place to post issues?

Yes, for an extension problem, you can post in this forum or the “Bugs and Glitches” forum.
I'm sorry the extensions are being tricky. If your EV3 is not connected, click the (!) above the extension blocks. This will pull up the devices menu, then you can select the device from there. If the device is not showing up, here's some things that I'd try:
I've also seen a few other topics describing people having this same issue.

- Create a new project using the extension
- Double-check Bluetooth and/or Scratch Link
- Refresh the page
- Try on Scratch Desktop (the Scratch 3 offline editor)

Scratch 3 Extension for EV3 Does not work
Thanks for the reply. I just tried all of your suggestions and it still won't connect.
There has got to be something wrong with the extension, the other extensions work great but i am not able to get the EV3 to work and I have 25 of them.
I have tried all of these items:
- Re-install scratch link
- Scratch 3 online
- Scratch 3 offline
- Wired and Bluetooth connection (I don't think wired works but I tried anyway)
- Paired EV3 to the PC Bluetooth
- Disconnected and then reconnected the Bluetooth on the PC
- Tried to connect on the the IPAD (Did not work)
Let me know if there is anything else to try.

Hi cadteacher,
Sorry to hear you're experiencing issues with the EV3 extension, and appreciate you've tried a bunch of different things! I can try and help out.
Wired connection to EV3 will definitely not work, neither will it work on iPad (hardware extensions are not supported on iPad yet), and although it might seem counterintuitive, you should not pair the EV3 to your PC outside of Scratch. My advice would be:
1. Make sure you have the latest Scratch Link and that it's running
2. Unpair any EV3 from your PC
3. On your EV3, in your Bluetooth settings, make sure Visibility and Bluetooth are ON, but iPhone/iPad-support is OFF
4. Try accessing the EV3 extension again and connect using the connection dialog in the extension.
Hope this helps, otherwise please let us know!

I am also unable to connect EV3 with Scratch in Windows 10. I've done the following without remedy:
I also tried kevsterino's suggestions:
The Bluetooth connection works for uploading programs from EV3-G.
- trying to connect when paired and unpaired via Windows Bluetooth (multiple times)
- updating the EV3 firmware, reverting the EV3 firmware
- tried multiple EV3 bricks
- removing, reinstalling, and applying appropriate firewall settings for Scratch Link
- tried both the Windows Store and direct download versions of Scratch Link
- tried Scratch in Firefox, Chrome, and Brave, with add-ons disabled
- tried the most recent desktop version of Scratch
- created a new project before attempting to connect
- updated Windows

Hi @MisterEB, are you using EV3-G while trying to use EV3 with Scratch? Without having tried, I don't think that will work. Please try using the latest official LEGO firmware, and without EV3-G or any other custom things on top. Also please make sure that you have completely unpaired the EV3 and don't do any re-pairing outside of Scratch. Let me know how it goes! If it still doesn't work, please let me know what specific version of Windows you're using as well as version of Scratch Link. Thanks!

I am having the same problem trying to connect to Lego WeDo 2.0, and another poster has this issue with Lego Boost. With WeDo, I am abe to conect the WeDo block to the computer using Lego's own software, but not with Scratch. It keeps searching and asking me to check I have Scratch Link running and that Bluetooth is enabled. This is with MacOS Catalina.

Scratch 3 Extension for EV3 Does not work
Hello there everyone, I heard from @speakvisually yesterday about the issues with the Scratch Link application, its not juts a problem for individuals its an issue for everyone.
We have been hearing reports that Scratch Link has stopped working on some computers. In some cases you might see an error message mentioning a certificate problem, and in others there might not be any error message at all. We are currently working on a fix for the problem and also working to prevent this from happening again in the future. As soon as we can, we'll release a new version of Scratch Link with these changes so you can start using Scratch with your hardware devices again. Thanks for your patience, and sorry for the trouble!

Scratch 3 Extension for EV3 Does not work
The Scratch EV3 extension is still not working. Any news?
Bluetooth works using the EV3 Classroom and Labview EV3 software, so the issue is somewhere in either the browser or Scratch Link.
Firmware: V1.10.E
Scrath Link: 1.18.827.1949
Windows 10, 1909
