Punch-Out!! - The Definitive Project [Changelog]

So, I'm making this Punch-Out!! game ( https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/196434104/ ) … And this is the changelog

CHANGELOG:

14/6/18: -Aran Ryan is less likely to change sides while standing. His headbutt knocks you down now.
-Added Masked Muscle's headbutting and spitting attacks.
-Great Tiger's fight is overall harder (his Tiger Punch is faster and now he has delayed attacks).
-Gabby Jay's attacks are a tiny little bit faster.
-Bob Charlie's spinning attack is a little bit tougher.
-Piston Hurricane's sprites were updated.
-Now Heike Kagero's hair attack is easier to see coming.
-High-punches deal more damage to Glass Joe now.
-Little Mac gets up more easily. Fixed a bug that only let you get up 2 times.
-Now you start with 75 HP. Still, if you get up (before 9), you'll get 65 HP.
-Some clock issues have been potentially fixed.
-One of Masked Muscle's and Bob Charlie's attacks has been slowed down.
-Masked Muscle has a better belly-punch sprite.
-Fixed Mac's getting up animation.

15/6/18: -Mad Clown was added to the game.
-Mad Clown's attacks now deal slightly less damage.
-Made Mad Clown's attacks a little bit weaker and slower.
-Mad Clown's punches are even weaker and slower. His delayed punch is now easier to see coming. Also, his special attack gives you more time to react.
-Fixed a glitch that would let you punch Aran Ryan while he was preparing to headbutt.
-Little Mac's getting up animation has been improved.
-Mad Clown's quick hug has been removed. Also, his hug now deals less damage.
-Controls are better now! Punches and hurt frames can be canceled by ducking or dodging. Plus, the punch key detection has been improved.

16/6/18:-Don Flamenco has been added to the game.
-Two of Soda Popinski's attacks have been slowed down.
-Doc Louis's tips have been added to the instructions of the project.
-Added sounds to Don Flamenco's fall.
-Don Flamenco's attacks are now easier to tell apart.
-Don Flamenco now has less HP. Plus, his massive flurry of punches has been nerfed, so it's not that big of a punishment.
-Dragon Chan, Pizza Pasta, Soda Popinski, Heike Kagero, and Mad Clown were nerfed. Their attacks are slightly slower and deal less damage.
-Bald Bull was added to the game. The world circuit is complete now!
-Fixed a glitch that changed the background in between rounds, thanks to @GarbageTV.

17/6/18: -Added more of Doc Louis's tips
-Fixed an issue with Piston Hurricane's body blow sprite, thanks to @GarbageTV for telling me!

20/6/18: -Disco Kid now throws combos of punches, making him a little bit harder.
-Piston Hurricane's hurricane rush has been tweaked.
-Bear Hugger's punches now deal less damage.
-Bob Charlie and Aran Ryan's special attacks don't 1-hit KD you anymore.
-King Hippo has been tweaked.
-All of the World Circuit's fighters deal less damage. Heike Kagero and Soda Popinski give you more time to react.
-Bald Bull's delayed bull charge has been removed. His uppercut patterns have been inverted, too.
-Now you can play the game with the arrow keys and z and x. Thanks to @GarbageTV for suggesting this!
-Bear Hugger's punches now deal more damage. He was way too nerfed
-Winning a title bout now plays a different winning jingle. I forgot about that little detail
-Now Mario stops moving if a round ends.

23/6/18: -Added the star earning feature.
-The star earning engine has been improved.

29/6/18: -Now stars deal damage to Bear Hugger.
-Von Kaiser is a little bit harder.
-Aran Ryan's headbutt is slightly faster. Now you can get stars from all of his punches.
-Star-punches are faster now.
-Changed Mad Clown's method of getting stars.

30/6/18: -All of the opponents' animations when they get hit by a star have been changed. They last for 0.5 seconds instead of 0.7.
-King Hippo's fight has been tweaked and fixed. All of his attacks work, high punches deal less damage to him, he's not vulnerable when you get hit and you can get stars from him.

20/8/18: Woah, dude. This is a HUGE update.
-The gameplay changed quite drastically. Now dodging and ducking works very similar to how it did in Punch-Out!! Wii. And it now matters how you dodge a punch (if you dodge it to the left/right or if you duck it). Thus, lots of changes were made to the opponents. They attack way more often now (1 attack every 0.7/2.8 seconds vs. 1 attack every 2.1/4.2 seconds).
-Opponents now have better attacks and attack animations.
-Great Tiger's tiger punch has been completely changed. King Hippo's fight has been fixed and greatly improved. Dragon Chan's and Pizza Pasta's ultra-fast attack has been removed. Many of Heike Kagero's attacks have been also removed. Disco Kid's fighting style has been changed a bit. Dragon Chan's quick kick has been removed. Don Flamenco's second special attack has been replaced by a quick uppercut.
-Now Little Mac has a better hurt animation.
-Fixed some glitches.
-Now you start with 20 stamina instead of 15. You can use your stars to heal yourself (1 star = 20HP) and you can recover stamina once your HP is maxed.
-When you're tired, each time you get punched, you have to dodge one more punch to recover. The maximum amount of punches you would ever need to dodge is three, and the opponent has to hit you three times (instead of two) to achieve this.

-Added a little “shaking” animation when your opponent gets knocked down.
-Added a sound effect when your opponent gets up from a knockdown.
-Fixed some of the opponents' hit animations.
-Fixed some of the opponents' getting up and falling animations.

-Dragon Chan's, Pizza Pasta's, Soda Popinski's, and Heike Kagero's special attacks were nerfed.
-Don Flamenco's special attack was slightly buffed.

22/8/18: -Buffed all Minor Circuit fighters and most of the Major Circuit fighters. Now they deal more damage. This is most noticeable in Gabby Jay and Glass Joe.
-Fixed Piston Hurricane's falling animation.

-Fixed a little coding error with Heike Kagero.
-Nerfed King Hippo's strength.
-Buffed Gabby Jay and Glass Joe (again).

27/8/18: -Narcis Prince was (finally) added to the game!
-Fixed an error with Disco Kid's, Piston Hurricane's, and Piston Honda's falling animation.
-Now Mario appears (as he should) when it's time up.

-Added a Doc Louis's tip for Narcis Prince, thanks to @newraymanfan for reminding me

-The menu was changed! A “Story Mode” button was added. It resets your progress, so you will go unlocking the fighters, instead of having all of them unlocked.
-Now, after you win/lose, you can go back to the menu by pressing space right after the “You win!/You lose!” text appears. It seems to be a little laggy, though, but just on the Scratch editor (at least for me).

-Fixed some errors with the new menu system.
-Added “Press space to go back to the menu” to the You win!/You lose! text.

-Finished updating the menu. It's ready for future updates! It took a surprisingly long time, lol.

31/8/18: -Hoy Quarlow was added to the game.
-Fixed some issues with Gabby Jay's walk and hit animations.
-Kid Quick's attacks were changed a bit.

1/9/18: -Mr. Sandman and Super Macho Man were added to the game.
-Now you can heal yourself faster.

9/3/19: -Star Punches deal more damage now.
-Some opponents' difficulty was balanced.
-Rick Bruiser, Nick Bruiser, Mr. Dream, and Mike Tyson were added to the game.
-The Last Stand mode was added to the game.
-Now you can raise or lower the game's music's volume by holding 1 or 2.
-Improved the menu and added a little title screen.

23/6/19: -Now you punch and dodge a little bit faster.
-Both Mac, Mario, and the opponents are bigger.
-Made some difficulty adjustments. Narcis Prince, Hoy Quarlow, and Piston Hurricane are easier, and Nick Bruiser is harder.
-Changed the thumbnail.

25/6/19: -Now your punches have more end lag if they miss.
-Mac's hit animation lasts longer.
-Your punching frames were reduced to 1.
-All of the opponents start fighting earlier and punch more often.

22/7/19: -Made engine improvements to the Minor Circuit opponents and Mike Tyson.
-Now the game's HUD is made of pixelated numbers instead of variables.
-The backgrounds have been changed.
-In-game seconds now last 1/3 seconds instead of 0.3.

16/3/20: -Made engine improvements to some other fighters.
-Adjusted the difficulty on some fights.

17/3/20: -Now all of the opponents have an updated engine.
-Some opponents have been re-balanced.
-Now getting punched will leave you with 0 stars.
-Now you can only recover health while the referee is counting.

22/3/20: -All of the Major Circuit opponents are a bit more challenging (especially Masked Muscle and Great Tiger).
-Star spam is less efficient now. 1 and 2-star punches deal less damage, while 3-star punches deal the same amount of damage. Thus, it's much more convenient to get a 3-star punch than throwing more 1-star punches.

27/3/20: -Masked Muscle and Aran Ryan were buffed.
-Fixed some glitches with Don Flamenco and Soda Popinski's special attack.
-Added a little walking animation for when Little Mac goes back to the center of the ring.
-Now Mac can't throw punches or dodge while he's getting up or while the opponent is going back to his fighting position.
-Dragon Chan's moves were altered.
-Aran Ryan was slightly modified.
-Fixed the damage values with the star punches. They were lower than intended.
-Narcis Prince, Hoy Quarlow, and Mr. Sandman have slightly different waiting values after attacks.

28/3/20: -Many difficulty balancing changes were made, mostly to the fighters from Von Kaiser to Kid Quick.
-Pizza Pasta behaves slightly differently now, his healing attack works properly, and his getting up sprite doesn't have a floating pixel anymore.
-Mac's Last Stand keeps lowering your health until you have 15 HP.
-Bald Bull, Mr. Sandman, and Rick Bruiser have the speed of their attacks as they should now. The fast attacks used to be slower and the slow attacks faster.
-Some issues with Piston Hurricane's side-punch were fixed.
-Little Mac's animations should look a little better now, and a new walking animation for when he's tired was added.

1/4/20: -Piston Hurricane, Piston Honda, Super Macho Man now have slightly different behaviors depending on how many times you've knocked them down, and are thus a bit harder.
-Piston Hurricane's Hurricane Rush is a bit harder to counter.
-Narcis Prince is now slightly harder.
-Bald Bull's normal punches are a bit slower now.
-Mad Clown's delayed attack is slightly slower.
-Some of Mac's scripts were optimized.
-King K. Rool was added to the game!

24/11/20: -Some of the opponents' animations have been exaggerated to make it easier to tell when they're going to punch.
-You now recover with 64 HP and 13 stamina whenever you get up (unless you're playing last stand mode or got up at 9).

10/4/21: -Most of the punching animations were altered to be easier to interpret. This might make some fights easier.
-Some delayed punches were delayed slightly more (0.8 seconds instead of 0.75).

14/4/21: -Fixed a glitch that prevented Narcis Prince from getting knocked down while he was getting angry.

-You now heal slightly slower.

-Nick Bruiser's IKD technique gives you a bit more time to perform it.

19/4/21: -Tap controls are now available.
-Pressing 5 will restart the current fight.

20/4/21: -Optimized some of the player's scripts.
-You can now hold the punch button and you'll keep punching.
-Stars may be a bit harder to get now (though it might not even be noticeable).

22/4/21: -Added IKO techniques to Gabby Jay, Glass Joe, Piston Hurricane, Bob Charlie, Piston Honda, Great Tiger, and Bald Bull. If you counter their taunts/special attacks with a 3-star-punch, they will be KO'd.
-Narcis Prince's uppercut is slightly slower now.
-Mac now has a visual effect for when he throws a two or three-star punch.
-There is now a visual indication for when you get a star.
-If you hold O and P or Z and X, you will alternate your punching direction instead of always hitting left.
-Soda Popinski now flashes before attacking.
-Heike Kagero's Mirage Dance has been changed and now includes an IKD technique.

25/4/21: -Fixed a glitch with Mr. Dream's falling animation.
-Slightly nerfed the damage of the later fighters' attacks.

4/5/21: -Heavily optimized the menu system. You should be able to navigate without any delay now.

8/5/21: -You can now get up faster.
-The animation for one of Masked Muscle's attacks has been altered and is easier to read now.

10/5/21: -Optimized the opponent damage and damage animation scripts.
-Nick Bruiser's IKD can be an IKO if hit with a 3-star punch.

11/5/21: -Mr. Dream can throw his 1-hit-KO punches more often now, and his normal uppercuts have less end lag.
-You can now encounter King K. Rool in Last Stand mode.

18/5/21: -Mr. Dream will throw 1-hit-KO punches until 0:40 (used to be until 0:30). Both these punches and normal punches are also slightly faster (0.38 seconds from 0.4 seconds).

19/5/21: -Mr. Dream's special attack has less end lag.
-Mike Tyson's round 1 start music has been changed.
-There is now a knockdown counter in the HUD.

20/5/21: -Added a “Get up!” text for when you fall down and can get back up.
-Removed some debug hotkeys I left by accident.
-Mike Tyson's round 1 intro is slightly faster now.
-Reworked and accommodated the menu system.
-K. Rool and the Last Stand Mode will be unlocked after beating the career mode.

28/5/21: -Nick Bruiser does slightly less damage on some punches.

I've beaten the game to rick bruiser and I still think king hippo is one of the hardest opponents in this project, please make it so when you hit him while his mouth is open, cancel the attack please, or make an instant ko frame, Please
