It's a real shame that we're probably not going to get the second film, I really enjoyed the first one. When Peter Jackson was asked about it, it sounded like he had forgotten about it completely.

Oh I remember this. I watched the movie. And little bits of some old show. Never read the book though. And I was never really interested. But seeing these replies, it looks like a pretty good book(book series, I dunno), so I guess I should watch the show more. I never really understood the story since I started watching from the middle episodes, which is probably the reason I didn't like it much.
