OOH! I HAVE SOME! Want to hear them? Cause if so, you'll just have to wait til' tomorrow afternoon. Half asleep at the moment.

EDIT: Idea 1: A giant killer carwash that squirts soap suds at you and hoses you down.

Idea 2: A Hydra that spits acidic saltwater and grows a new head every 30 sec. UNTIL you kill it.

It's nice that you want to join! Before you do, can I have two ideas? One idea needs to be about a gardener, and another needs to be a puzzle game.

1). The Cheese

Bring a cooking apprentice to good old Aunt Mary has always been so scrumptious! She's such a master chef, and her casseroles are always delectable. The best thing about it all is that you get to eat her cooking every day! Yum!

One day, Aunt Mary noticed that she didn't have enough onion for a soup that she was going to make, so she left you in guard of her trusty kitchen while she went grocery shopping. Suddenly, you here a crash somewhere around the vintage house. Someone's broken in! Or maybe it was Fluffy the cat knocking over a vase. He does that a lot, but that rumor is gone as soon as you see a stranger creeping up on Aunt Mary's cheese stall. It's time to protect the cheese!

In this game, there will be cheese in the center of the screen, as well as three thieves trying to steel your cheese. You can push them back with your mouse, but the thieves will steadily be getting faster as time passes. You can try collecting cans of beans for a larger mouse, which means it's easier to push enemies.

If you get far enough, you could try adding in more thieves, as well as bonus lives. If you want to add in an interesting twist, you could add in walls and make the level look like a good home kitchen.

2). Bee Invader

Bees are docile creatures who forage for food among flowers. They are unique in that they have a strong sense of community, even willing to sacrifice themselves for the goodness of the colony. To their advantage, Nature gave them stingers, which are very potent weapons indeed.

In each bee hive it is rumored that there is a little nugget of gold, and although not proved, it would be worth millions of dollars in our present economy. Look there! There's a beehive! Do you see the bees in it? Now look there! See that little robot that's flying towards the hive? I think I know what it's trying to do; capture the hive's nugget of gold. I wonder how this will turn out!

In this game, you will get to control a little robot. Your goal is to infiltrate the bee hive and capture a nugget of gold. There will be bees blocking your path though, and they will try coming for you. That's why you need to take full advantage of the level layout like spikes, honey to slow bees down, and powerups. If you want to, you can try adding in some achievements/hidden trophies.

3). Alone

It's quiet.

And creepy.

And lonely.

All the way down here at the bottom of the well. The whole place trembles. Or maybe that's you? You're scared either way.

You see a tunnel. It's weird. It's the only way out. It's still creepy. You sigh.

A torch appears. You grab it. Maybe you will have to try the tunnel after all.

In this game, you have to find a path to the exit, but there's a twist. The level is completely dark, except for around you and your torch. This makes for interesting challenges and hidden goodies that you can put in everywhere. If you want to, you can make the torch only have a limited life, so you can't dawdle at the beginning forever. Or, along with the limited light, you could be able to snuff and relight the torch for some extra control.

I hope that you like the ideas!

Ideas,

RPG idea: Maybe this– You are stranded on an island. Lots of people are. Only 3 to an island, and the other two people are some of your family. No family= no company. You can talk over a phone system, and all the scientists and stuff are trying to get everyone together, but from one island, no matter how far you go, you can't reach another island.
Gorilla idea: (Animation) Gorilla stuffs unpeeled banana in mouth. Spits it out “What the?” it asks. Tries again three more times. “Oh! It's UNPEELED! That's why it was so gross.” gorilla says.
i know, not much for the gorilla thing, but I tried.

1). Flower Defense

Squad Bee has always been a source of humor among the bug military. Not only is Squad Bee composed of Japanese beetles, but they have always proved terrible in their training exercises, even crashing during the most basic maneuvers that even a snail could do. That is a lot to say.

Since each squad is required by bug law to be useful or else be disbanded, the bug military decided to send Squad Bee to eat a plant. They'll probably fail at it. As Squad Bee is about to near their plant, a nearby scouting team reports the richest flowers ever spotted, but they're about to be dug up by some pesky humans in a few minutes! With not much choice, the Bug military sends Squad Bee in to handle the situation.

In this game, you will be defending the flower. The flower will be at the center of the screen with a few rows of petals growing out of from the middle. Meanwhile, bugs will be flying in from everywhere to eat the flower. One bug is one petal, and if a bug ever touches the center of the flower, it's game over. You can help prevent that by using your bug destroyer, which you move around the screen joystick fashion. If you want to, you can use the mouse instead. The level is over either when you've destroyed a certain amount of bugs, or a certain amount of time has passed. If you want to, you can try using bees as a special bug, which might destroy two petrels, move faster, or take two hits with your bug destroyer.

2). Road Rage

For centuries now, there's been this secret group called the Kinsman, a secret group so secret that when one known member was asked, they replied with “What's the Kinsman?” They're bent on destroying every world government ever known, but so far, their most successful plot has been throwing oranges at the Eiffel Tower. Explosive oranges.

In their latest and most daring plot, the Kinsman have captured some nuclear fuel rods, which with the recent kidnapping of a nuclear bomb engineer, spells doom for the British. That is, unless you can capture the fuel rods before they're used. You are an undercover agent named Arnold Schwarzenegger. Your goal: Jump into a car and chase the nuclear fuel rods down. Do anything to side track and destroy them. This game story will self destruct in 3… 2… 1…

In this game, you will be cruising down a road, dodging cars, blockades, holes in bridges, and anything interesting that can be thrown at you. The Kinsman, knowing that you're hot on their trail, will want to side track you. They will occasionally drop in and lay a bomb on the road, and they can set up blockades with their cars, or set up nail traps, to pop your tires. Each level ends when you hit the nuclear fuel rod truck, although you have a time limit each level. Levels should get progressively harder, with a faster enemy truck, more cars in general, more traps, ect…

3). Ant Attack

Downtown, in the luxurious section of Chicago, there's a new restaurant named McDonalds. It is the center of gossip for the city as the restaurant prepares to open. Rumors range from, “Will the McDonalds be made out of cheese?”, “Will burgers cost $314?”, “Will they be invaded by ants?”

In fact, that last rumor interestingly comes true on the day of opening, and you've been assigned to handle the ant invasion with only a fly swatter. Why you? You're not sure, but you have a restaurant and reputation to protect.

In this game, there will be three to four rows which ants can travel down. At the bottom of each row is a place where your fly swatter can smack, which you do by pressing a, s, d, or f. Letting ants through will cause you to loss lives, though you can gain more every 15,000 or so points. Also, some ants are faster then others, some are large and laze, and others and simply tricky to hit. It depends. I'm thinking each level should end after you've destroyed a certain amount of ants.

I hope that you like the ideas!

I've had quite a bit of experience on Scratch, and I think my idea of making a hospital flatline simulation pretty ingenious (click on my signature. version 3 will incorporate all the suggestions and make the game better in general)
So do I wait for you to reply to this…or should i just state my ideas now?

@Haiming:
You need to wait for me to see your post.

Anyway, since you want to join, could I have an idea about cats, and another idea that's a platformer?

@MiniFluffyBug:
I would agree, the gorilla idea does seem a bit short, but it seems creative and a bit humorous! I especially like how it's an animation instead of the usual game idea. Better grammar would be better though, and maybe a bit more detail.

As for your second idea, I like the gameplay behind it. The idea though doesn't seem fleshed out too well, and it seems a bit confusing. For example, you said that scientists are trying to get everyone together, but you said that from one island, you can't reach another.

By the way, RGP's usually need a bit more story behind them because that is part of what makes an RPG an RPG. So why are they stranded?

I'm not entirely ready to accept you, but if you revise your ideas, I'll take a second look. You seem to be quite optimistic too, which is good. :)

Hi!
Hmmmm……..

Cats
It seems that everyone has suddenly transformed into a cat. The main character (the hero) wants to change everyone back to the original state by retrieving a potion, but along the way, he realizes that the sudden transformation was a conspiracy, and it wasn't an accident. The people that did this want revenge on humans and dogs because they were mistreated. These “rogue” cats are blocking you from restoring humanity. The gameplay could be a scroller, RPG, platformer, etc

Plat-Former
In a post-apocalyptic world, the survivors, including you, are thrust into a matrix to go back in time to prevent the nuclear war that destroyed the world. The plat-former starts in the matrix. He is moving along a series of difficult mazes to reach the end destination. In the end, when he has reached his time-travel destination, the action begins. He must kill all the rebels to stop the war. The plat-former takes him across the world to stop every single seed of the war.

Just to clear the scientist thing up, I meant that they are trying to find a way for someone to get to another island. They are stranded because, well, I actually don't know. I'll think about it. And thanks, about the gorilla thing. I decided to make it an animation since you guys don't have any animation ideas. I'll work on revising it this weekend.

Orders up!

1). A giant water worm. It jumps around the place, and makes the ground slippery wherever it touches the ground. It has a high health, but should be easy to hit because of it's length. Giant water worms really only should do damage through contact, though you could also let them spawn little enemies for extra fun.

2). Have you ever thought of using the kraken? If you don't know what it is, it's basically a humongous squid that's been known to tear entire ships and vessels apart with it's shear strength. If you're doing a land vs water sort of battle, you could have the kraken use its tentacles for attack, while it's head is completely vulnerable.

3). I'm not sure if you think crabs are water related or not, but…

A giant crab which whenever it walks by you, will smack its claws together. If you're caught in between, well, you get hit. This crab, although large and maybe slow, makes up for everything with its damaging attacks and high health. You could allow the crab to jump around a bit, although I doubt that crabs jump.

I hope that you like the ideas!

Okay, I see now! That makes things a lot clearer. :)

@Haiming:
Nice ideas! I like both of them, especially the cat one! They both are creative, and have great detail.

I feel that they lack a bit of gameplay though. I understand that for your first idea since you didn't solidify it as “a scroller, RPG, platformer, etc”, but in your second idea, you only mention a platformer maze, and a fighting stage afterwards. Are there any challenges in the maze? Anything that the rebels might have? Also, I was slightly confused when you said that the platformer started in the matrix. Isn't the matrix a time machine? Or am I missing something here?

Out of curiosity, what image editor did you use to make your signature with?

Anyway, welcome to the Idea Shop! May you have a lot of creativity in the future.

Welcomes,

ErnieParke

1). Lemon Farms

Lemon farming has always been a rigorous process, but a worthy one. Seeing all the golden yellow lemons that you collect is well worth all the toil and sweat that you put into them. The best thing of all is that after your hard work, you get to enjoy a nice cold cup of lemonade. Of course, you, only 8 years old, have never done anything with lemons, but today is your big day! Now you get to try!

This game should be a collection of lemon-farm-themed-mini games stringed back to back. Each can be 5 or 10 seconds, and your goal is to survive a total of 60 seconds. If you do that, you've beaten the game! There should be a variety of mini games, ranging from picking the lemons as they scroll/fall past, clicking/squeezing all the lemons in 5 seconds, pressing space/drinking an entire cup of lemonade, clicking/planting an entire field of lemons, ect…

In case you find lemon farms a bit narrow of a theme, you can try farming in general, or even just have a bunch of random mini-games stringed back to back.

I hope that you like the idea!

Yes, the matrix is a “time machine” in this case. The challenges in the maze are like spikes appearing out of nowhere, and fragile parts of the ground would fall and you would die, etc.

Okay, orders up!

Note: I'm not completely ready to type all of my ideas out, plus I have to go to bed (I did start a bit late…), so I'll just comment on your profile page when you're done.

1). The Two Sides of Us

This game is supposed to be more of a puzzle platformer.

A brother and sister could not such polar opposites as Max and Isabel. They like different things then each other, so if one of them likes something, the other is bound to hate it. In fact, this split goes so far as to cause a lot of fights, everyday, every hour. It's a tragedy.

One day, one fateful day, both brother and sister are involved in a near fatal car crash. They black out, and wake up to a completely white room, a room in their imagination. A white robed messenger commands them that for them to truly heal, they must reconcile and meet with each other. The messenger tells them that following a nearby orb of light would be fine enough, and it will take them on a dangerous path that will shake them to the bone, but it will heal a longstanding divide of friends. They sigh and take their first steps on a path unknown.

In this game, there will be two sides of the screen. The brother and sister each will take one half, but cannot cross into the other side. They can still help each other out by pressing buttons, pushing boxes to the other side of the screen, and a lot of other things. The level should end when both sister and brother touch their orbs of light, but make sure it takes some teamwork. That's what this game is about.

2). Camel Rides

People have ridden varieties of things, from horses, to camels, from pigs, to ostriches. There's quite a unique variety of riding animals to choose from. What I'm thinking of is a twist of ridding them. Why not have a miniature platformer adventure on one of there backs?

This game I'm thinking you will be on the back of a camel. You're supposed to dodge anything that the camel might run into, and if you want to, you can even try adding in enemies to dodge. You could also try adding into falling boulders to try and dodge, sandstorms to blur vision, or maybe even treasures/trophies to try and collect for your quest.

If you want to go beyond a simple dodging game, this could be like a medieval RPG sort of game. You can travel between cities with your camel, but cities closer to the enemy/boss castle will get harder. Some of them might even require a minimum experience level to pass, which you can get from traveling older routes, or maybe doing side quests. You could also try adding in stores in some villages where you can spend your newly collected booty on maybe experience, health, a one-time power up, ect…

3). A New View on Games

This platformer is supposed to be slightly structured like those point and click adventures you might have played before. If you click on a bridge, it might come down, and your character might walk across to victory. If you click on a pear, it might fall down into a gorge, knock a bird out of its nest, which then allows the character to walk across a bridge past the bird's nest.

What I'm thinking hear is instead of having the goal be getting to the end, whatever that might be… what if, you're trying to beat another game?

Say at the bottom of the screen, Pac Man is cowering on the right, with lots of ghosts to the left guarding the last dot. You could have a little platforming adventure above where if you touch a pear, it will fall down, knock away the ghosts, and let Pac-Man win the level. You could do this with your games as well. Take “Escape v0.1c (Third place!)” for example. Your Escape character doesn't know where the door is. Luckily there's a sign next to him, but it's not pointing in the right direction. So in the platformer adventure above, you might plug a fan in, then turn the fan on. The fan could then turn the sign in the right direction, allowing the character from “Escape v0.1c (Third place!)” to find the door, and continue on their adventure.

Do you see where I mean by all of this?

4). To be typed…

I hope that you like the ideas!

Ideas,

ErnieParke
