LETS GO BACK TO 2!!
Am I the only one that hates this new update? This version 3 is too “round” for me…

No, you're certainly not alone. Just get used to it.
The ST is not going to revert to 2.0, they spent 3 and a half years on 3.0 and they're not going to throw away all that work. If you really wish to stay with 2.0 editor, download it here.

There is a reason it seems too “round”. From years of research, the Scratch Team has found that the 2.0 editor looked “intimidating” for new users. For this reason they made the stage corners rounded, for starters, and made some other changes.

You'd be surprised as to what young newcomers may think is intimidating. That's like saying a square is intimidating

Yeah, when I first joined Scratch in 2016, I thought the 2.0 editor was way too complicated, as I had done no previous programming. I think that the 3.0 editor is less intimidating and a bit easier to use, personally. You'd be surprised as to what young newcomers may think is intimidating. If you're seeing this signature, that means I've come out of my social anxiety hole.
Also, I edit the Scratch Wiki. Check it out sometime it's cool I guess.

I personally think the project window being moved to the right is a little uncomfortable, and the UI buttons are a bit too big for my liking, but otherwise I've had no major trouble adjusting to the 3.0 editor layout. When your audience reaches a certain size, no matter what you change, there will be disapproval and negative feedback, because it's in our nature to resist change once we are comfortable with something. You can never satisfy everyone, it's just how it is.

I think the scratch team should have just left it as a button to go to 3.0 like how it was when they were still working on it because there is a lot that I really do not like about 3.0 and I feel like 2.0 was a lot better. And also, does anyone know how to set a min and max for the slider variables in 3.0? I'm having trouble finding that.

I have to agree with you there. I started using Scratch a few years ago, and when I first saw it I thought, “this is way too hard!” But once I started it got much easier.Yeah, when I first joined Scratch in 2016, I thought the 2.0 editor was way too complicated, as I had done no previous programming.
