Colour Palletes/Presets!

I've been wandering about the “help with scripts” (Cheetahgirl6 and others) and I've noticed many people asking where the colour presets went. I for one, have just made a project (with the new sprites and noises, they're so good) and also noticed it gone. Although the colour sliders allow for more variety, allowing for more shades etc, a colour preset would help new comers and please the oldies. Bringing back the colour preset would be great.

Just as one more thing (this is more of a kind of long term implement, maybe not though), could you add customizable colour presets. Like a pick and choose your colours and it saves to what ever project you go on. It's like a backpack, but for colours. This could be an alternative to the top one. I just thought it could be effective and cool.

Thank you!

That would be cool, especially the second one.

The second one is the one that I really want in, mostly because it can do the same job as the first one, except with more customizable options.

Some features has been changed in scratch 3.0 and we used to have a scratch 2.0 website and then scratch 3.0 come in 2019.

Color swatches and color backpack as suggested sound cool.
My suggestion: Another pallet with your own colors.

Heya! You seem new to the forums. Please remember, don't post unconstructively on old topics–it's called necroposting and isn't allowed.

Colour Palletes/Presets!

I support the second part of this suggestion but not the first.

While I must admit that the classic swatch system is a little nostalgic and I would be lying if I said that there isn't a small part of my brain saying “the old color system was better because it had personality and made Scratch projects recognizable and also 2.0 and 1.x were better overall bla bla bla bla bla bla” I have to acknowledge that it's probably better for Scratch to not return to the days of having like fifty colors that everyone was using (though the more precise color picker being much better in 3.0 may negate some of that problem).

However, having custom color swatches is something almost necessary in my opinion. If you select multiple objects of different colors in either editor, it clears the color that used to be in your brush, replacing it with the ugly default purple color (if anyone actually likes the fact that the weird shade of purple is the default could you let me know?). I currently have to import an image which has all of the colors I use frequently just so I can access them easily.

So yes, I think that a custom color palette is a must-have feature. I would also suggest that the first color of your custom palette should be the default color, so I don't have to constantly change that weird shade of purple to black every time I want to draw lines after using the selection tool in bitmap.
