I agree with you that there needs to be a I think Scratch should add a Point Towards X Y blockpoint towards x: (0) y: (0)
point towards x: (0) y: (0) :: motionblock, but right now you can replicate it using
SPRITE 1:
when I receive [PointTowards v]
go to x: (X) y: (Y)
SPRITE 2:
broadcast [PointTowards v] and wait
point towards [SPRITE 1 v]

Odd. It seems the VM was made with a compatibility mode that runs at 30 fps meant for Scratch 2.0 projects with 60 fps for new projects in 3.0. However, it seems the GUI always turns on compatibility mode, so even 3.0 projects run at 30 fps. Oh well
If a mod wanted to raise the clone limit, I think here would be where it could be set.

Just a quick question - does anyone understand how to center sprites? There doesn't seem to be a tool for that anymore. Is this a problem for anyone else?

If select the whole of the sprite in the editor and move it to one side, you can see there is a small circle with cross on it that marks the centre of the sprite.

I also noticed that you can't drag sprites from our background into the costume/background editor anymore? And you cannot import files into the editor. (Like import pictures into an existing sprite/background) I wish we could just disable Scratch 3.0

A hack workaround is to use “upload sprite” to load an image file to a new sprite and then copy and paste it into existing one
Not nice though and not something I'd like to get a a class of 30 pupils trying out at same time!

Win XP, lol.this is not my computer I am using this as a temporary until I upgrade to fedora 28Try it, but tbh you should really upgrade. Windows XP is really insecure. would I be able to use scratch 3.0 on My browser / operating system: Windows XP, Chrome 49.0.2623.112, Flash 21.0 (release 0)
and yeah I know it's old
You know a small percentage of people still use XP it's mostly used by hackers to test there hacking skills since windows XP has real bad security, although I think they should try hacking into something a bit more secure cause then there hacking skills would be better.
Anyways, I don't think Scratch 3.0 needs flash and If you were able to run 2.0 (Which did need flash) you should be able to run 3.0, if you have flash that is.
My browser / operating system: MacOS Macintosh X 10.14.1, Chrome 71.0.3578.98, No Flash version detected

You can import sprites into the Scratch 3.0 Editor, without using a “hack” workaround. Just not export them unfortunately.
The way to import sprites is to just go down to the circle where you add a new sprite (Do NOT click on it) and go up to the top option and click on Upload Sprite. The same goes with costumes and sounds.

Aah -didn't see that icon down on the left when editing costumes - ta
EDIT But i doesn't import to current costume - so still have to copy and paste it - but better than having to create a new sprite and having to delete it /EDIT

I think they were referring to the tool in 2.0's paint editor that allows you to select the center point of a costume.Just a quick question - does anyone understand how to center sprites? There doesn't seem to be a tool for that anymore. Is this a problem for anyone else?go to x: (0) y: (0)

That doesn't exist anymore, and it is a pretty important feature. Scratch should give us the choice to use 2.0 or 3.0. Older scratchers will agree, Scratch 3.0 is very different from the one we're used to. The preview is on the opposite side, the tabs are reorganized… It requires basically re-learning scratch. If beginners want a big, bright, easy interface then let them. But don't force everyone to get used to it. Have a setting to switch to 2.0 and keep 3.0 as the default. Not to mention they removed lots of important tools for the sake of being ‘user-friendly.’

Scratch 1.4 and 2.0 are both available for download. Scratch should give us the choice to use 2.0 or 3.0. Older scratchers will agree, Scratch 3.0 is very different from the one we're used to. Also, the stage was on the right during the 1.x period, which lasted from 2007 to 2013, and on the left during the 2.0 period, from 2013 to 2019. Both of these periods of time were around 6 years long. However, with 3.0's release, the stage is back on the right, meaning that the right-stage layout has now been used for a longer period of time than the left-stage layout.
