Arguable. Honestly, I find “lm*o” to be more immature simply because it sounds like they're swearing just because they can.

I see a lot of people on Scratch (in their comments not on the forums) use “lmao” in their comments. I don't think it implies *** necessarily, and the comments aren't removed or reported. It should be okay as long as you use it sparingly.

I doubt it. Do you really need that to express your laughter?

I personally discourage its use, similar with other abbreviations that stand for bad words. It is possible you may get a warning for using these abbreviations.
