3.0 is Missing Features and Feels like a Beta
In your post you mentioned embedding projects. If you want to do that you can type <iframe src=“scratch.mit.edu/projects/1234567/fullscreen” width=“WIDTH” height=“HEIGHT”></iframe> into HTML This is basically the same, but more customizable.
Does not work for me. I get a “connection refused by scratch.mit.edu” message.

And all my old embeds are broken!

Hope they will fix this.

There are a lot of different points to keep track of here, but let me at least say, we take your feedback and concerns seriously, and we're working hard to make Scratch 3.0 be awesome for everyone.Thanks for addressing my concerns. I don't mean to sound rude
@ToadTV, what is the project url that you're having trouble with?
@Phanthomphax, you should still be able to set a sprite to be draggable in the player, using a block in the Motion section.
@Minty_Cat_56, you should still be able to save a project to a file.
I was a bit frustrated by my corrupted project and missing features when I wrote this. I do think that adding these things back is important, though, and I thank you all for being around in the forums to listen.URL is https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/235272025/ . Thanks for any help on that in advance!

@gaspart:
Try using /embed instead of /fullscreen, eg. https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/67727504/embed
@ToadTV
You can download the project in 2.0 format here: https://codepen.io/MegaApuTurkUltra/pen/pvYWRK
From there, maybe you can open it in the 3.0 Scratch Desktop and convert it.

@gaspart:Thanks! I'll give that a try and see what happens. That way I can at least have it downloaded and safe if not online again.

Did you try that and it worked? Because it does not work for me.

The Scratch Team is still working on providing updates and fixes for Scratch 3. It was released while still being somewhat buggy because of how Adobe Flash is going away in 2020. If they didn't release it quickly, there might be a point where Scratch was more unusable than it is now.

I think a major source of headches is that everyone was expecting a finished if not improved product. All we kept hearing about was “new features” but nobody mentioned that it would be unfinished.

I had followed your instructions on taking the 2.0 backpack and making it into a project.Just now, I took all the sprites in that project and put it in the new backpack. I tried to drag one of the sprites from the new backpack into the sprite area, and it didn't appear. Then I selected “paint sprite” and dragged the sprite from my backpack into the painting area. What is going on? Did I do something wrong?
