Editor background options.
The editor background uses 3 shades of white which are also in the pallet, this becomes a pain when doing sprite art. Maybe we could have an option to change these background colors between Grey/White, Black, and White.

I'm sorry, but I didn't really understand what you mean. If you want more colors you can click the symbol to the left of the color palette at the bottom.

The background of the editor.
The checkerboard with the Cross in the middle. when you're editing at 1800% with white or any of the 2 grey's it uses, it can become hard to draw.

I always find that annoying! Support! The only problem is, what colors could it possibly be changed to? Maybe the transparency could be in smaller squares than a single editor pixel?

There's a simple solution:
1. Make sure your on Vector NOT Bitmap. Stay on Vector for the whole time
2. Fill the Editor background with a color that isn't similar to any colors your going to use.
3. Do the Pixel Art and stuff.
4. When finished, Fill the background color you chose on Step 2 with the blank color on the Pallet.
Done!
Hope that helps!

In my world, there's no such thing as Vector pixel art. Stay on Vector for the whole time

At least not with the Scratch vector editor. It is hard to get consistent sizes of images and thus would be difficult to do my style of pixel art, meaning I would have to use a separate image editor - but then I might as well just use GIMP, which handles transparency quite well for Bitmap graphics.

Are people getting mixed messages here? My post is just saying “We should have an option to change the editor background” because these 3 colors are hard to work with due to it: http://prntscr.com/3nlutz (There are 3 squares in different shades of white, but the background gets in the way)

Don't worry; I get it.
I am very annoyed by that too - I wonder why I never thought to suggest that!

Can't you just fill the background with some color you won't use then do your work and once your finished fill the background with a blank color
