Sooooooooooooo annoying! No backpack = no storage of valuable items!
I'm saying valuable because I have a hack by someone, but it's sooooooo useful!
I can use it for OS's, or word proccesers!

Moving your backpack to 3.0
IBulbasaur300 Hi folks!
In early January 2019, Scratch 3.0 will launch and become fully integrated in the Scratch Online Community. When this happens you’ll also see an updated backpack tool. The updated backpack will resolve many of the bugs associated with the current backpack.
As part of this update, all items that are currently in your backpack will be removed. We wanted to give you a heads up so you can look through your backpack for things you want to keep after the launch of 3.0.
Not sure how to save items from your backpack? You can create a new project and pull the items, one by one, into the project. Save this project until after the launch of 3.0 when you can re-add them back to the backpack!
Here is a project that shows exactly how to do this: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/265112757/
Scratch On!

ThanksQuote from @thisandagain to answer your question: @EHTERNET Will we loose groups, projects and all account progress. What will scratch do in 2020 when there is no more flash.Good question! All of your accounts, projects, comments, studios, etc will all still be here when we launch Scratch 3.0. The only thing that we won't be able to bring over is your backpack items. I hope that helps clarify!

When Scratch 3.0 comes, make sure you keep your sprites, scripts, and sounds you want in your project backpack;which is on the bottom of the project editor.Drag all your sounds, scripts, and sprites to the bag open backpack so you can see the stuff you added.
