Don't worry!
Nobody likes the law, so nobody will vote for it!
Actually, it passed…
Yes, but there's still more things it has to go through before it's approved in January.
So can we still stop it?
If we can, how are we going to do it?
And are we successful so far?
Well, as kids, we really can't do anything…

Buuuuuuuuut, we CAN spread the word!
Cool! We can tell the adults!
…and how are the adults going to to stop it?

By convincing other adults…and more adults…until it goes to the president(or whoever passed Article 13)!

If Article 13 gets approved in January, that will make Scratch 3 look like ALL Europeans do not like Scratch 3, although some Europeans actually do like Scratch 3. Article 13(probably, if passed in January) will make Scratch less popular, but maybe Scratch will get more popular as Scratch 3 continues.

No, Net Neutrality came about in 2014. It's not too hard to see that the Internet worked fine before then, although NN could help with some things…

Article 13, however, could be catastrophic.

Well we have a month, so I think that if enough people try, it could work!

Who even voted for the law in the first place?

I know your post is semi-joking but I think it was actually people who thought “hmm… this is a good copyright law” without knowing what the internet is like today, or the consequences the law would have.

WE NEED TO SPREAD THE MESSAGE MORE THEN.
THE PEOPLE WHO VOTED MIGHT REGRET IT AND VOTE TO STOP IT!

Yeah, it was a joke post. Anyway, they're probably quite uninformed about the effect it would have on the internet, and think it won't affect much.

Net Neutrality? Article 13? What happens to Scratch?

So this post hasn't been updated in a while, and now that we are literally in the month where it will be activated, I have a couple of statements and questions.
1. Are we winning?
2. My dad says that apparently the law won't cause lots of problems on the internet, and he assures it. Is he right?
3. Will the memes disappear, or will they just be restricted in Europe?

1: It's quite vague at the moment.
2: If the law is passed as it is meant to at the moment, it will affect the internet a lot for European Users (Namely countries in the European Union ) so if you are from Australia (as you are) you won't be affected too drastically. (Although some things may be a bit weird as you're connected to the Commonwealth). Nothing to worry about for you
3: Memes won't disappear, just won't be available in selected European countries (the EU countries)

Also the law is passing through the EU rather than through Europe, as Europe is a continent and has no ‘leading government’ per say This means that the UK will be safe when Theresa May gets her mind together and leaves the EU for good lol

Phew. YouTube and Scratch is safe!
I still want Article 13 to be taken down though, so we can all live in a meme world of peace.

Okay, I'm getting seriously worried. Are we safe? Is there a high chance that Article 13 is going to be shut down?
Because is happening pretty soon (like NEXT MONDAY) so do we have to do anything else or are we doomed!?
And if it does pass, will sites like YouTube and Scratch be gone or not?
I NEED ANSWERS TO CALM DOWN!

We'll see what happens, as it is very unclear on what might result of this. Let's just hope for the best.
I'll close this topic now.
