Why isn't FNaF allowed on Scratch? It's a kids game.

Stop what? It's not like there was a chain or anything. If anything, you almost started a chain, no offence.

Sorry, I was just saying maybe we should stop because this forum might get out of hand.

I think this should be closed now, the answer has been stated several times.

Yes, yes it is. But it's rated that for fantasy violence and horror themes. Cut out the jumpscares, phone calls, darkness, and clean up the place a bit and you've got an E game.

Here's a list (this is for fnaf1)
  • Phone calls. You don't even have to remove them just tone down the violence i have an idea, just act normal and they'll think you're an endoskeleton! … actually, don't do that… -st have mercy on me i cut out the slightly questionable part- … wonder how that would work… just don't get caught ok
  • Take out the WiNdOwScArEs or tone them down or something
  • Change the music
  • Jumpscares (just change them to something more light-hearted and fun)
  • Clean up the place, I mean why are there so many sticky notes and empty fast food garbage
  • Oh lookie there you can edit the mechanics and make it lighter and all of the sudden it's hilarious or something, who knows what kids want (making fun of those advertisers)

and that's about all i can think of

That's still a lot. Don't make it sound easy. Here are reasons why it's NOT easy:
  • Phone calls: Tone down the violence? They would have to change the entire script of the chatting in the phone calls to do that.
  • Windowscares: Tone it down? They would have to find a replacement for windowscares because of the part it plays, or just change the entire story. That's no doubt a lot of work. Rewriting, recoding, re-blah-blah.
  • Change the music: This step is fairly easy enough.
  • Jumpscares: Make them more light-hearted and fun? It wouldn't be jumpscares any more! They, again, would have to find a replacement for jumpscares because of the part it plays, or just change the entire story. That's, again, no doubt a lot of work. Rewriting, recoding, re-blah-blah.
  • Clean up the place: This step is also fairly easy enough.
  • Edit the mechanics and make it lighter and hilarious: Oh, you mean change the story? They can do that very quick! At the extraordinarily quick time of one year or two! Only the incredibly easy tasks of recoding, rewriting, and redesigning!

  • Considering the last night's call is from an autobiography all you'll have to remove are what happens if you get caught and the little spoof about pretending to be a suit
  • Meaning have a faint outline in the windows that just becomes clearer when the light is turned on, and no sharp noise when a silhouette becomes clearer
  • -resolved-
  • By that I mean having a robot just march inside, stand around a bit, and then leave or something similar, the goal is to have no jumpscares
  • -resolved-
  • The hilarious part was making fun of kid-targeting advertisers, not necessarily part of the list, but you can turn down the darkness filter and turn off the static and you'll be done.

About the jumpscare solution, it would be hard to do. You still need to recode and rewrite. About the phone solution, how would you remove it? It wouldn't be professional to just blank it out, but anyways, just blank it out. I don't care. :P About the making fun of advertisers, what do you mean? I don't think advertisers would advertise a product making fun of themself…

This is true, but I'm not sure where the PEGI rating came from, because as far as I could tell from my brief research, neither PEGI nor ESRB have rated the game.

The Australian rating ranges from PG for FNAF World to M for Sister Location and FNaF 4 to MA15+ for games 1-3. For reference, PG = PG, M = PG-13 and MA15+ = R.

I don't think advertisers would advertise a product making fun of themself…
i was making fun of advertisers in my post, not saying anyone else should/will make fun of them
1) Remember, I'm not trying to keep the lore intact, I'm trying simply to make it a kid-friendly game.
2) We still have the models, and effort's not what counts, it's the content that does
3) I mean changing the script and re-recording (remember number 2 remember number 2)

Why isn't FNaF allowed on Scratch? It's a kids game.

Five Nights At Freddy's isn't that scary. I've seen much gorier things on Scratch than FNaF. Whoever banned it it must've never played it, it's just jumpscares.
what is your problem. It's MA-15+ meaning if you aren't 15 it's against the law to play it.
it's. rated. pegi. 12.
Australia has different rating systems.
Austalia's rating is more in-depth, and nothing more. The game is labelled as 12+ and that's what we're going with. (also esrb is just 13+)
That is older than 8.
Yes, yes it is. But it's rated that for fantasy violence and horror themes. Cut out the jumpscares, phone calls, darkness, and clean up the place a bit and you've got an E game.
That us lots to take away just to get from T to E

I'm saying that it takes a lot of effort to change it, so FNaF is NOT close to being E-rated. (despite you making it sound easy)
