Ability to add names to scripts
Support, along with a feature to search scripts by name. This would make it easier to edit large projects.Someone actually suggested the ability to search for scripts here: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/85176/

But those opinions were before I stated my reasons. So they could be outdated.Oh. Ok.We have a lot of positive support, I think ST has the chance to find this soon and put their decision into it :3Actually, no. It's 3 supporters and 4 or 5 non-supporters so far.

Support, and for anyone who is saying, “just use comments” you can't use comments to search for a specific script out of say 100 scripts. Using comments would take a long time to look for something, and just searching for it is a better idea.

I'd actually like this, assuming that:
- you can search for the named scripts
- the script names show up in the backpack
- you can stop specific scripts
Would the names be checked against all other names in the sprite or project? e.g. if you added a script for one sprite called “main loop”, could another sprite also have a script called “main loop”?

So if you are looking for Script 59, it will be a specific comment.

I'd actually like this, assuming that:Yes! Multiple sprites can have scripts that share the same name, but scripts sharing the same name cannot be in the same sprite.

Support. I think this would be really useful, especially for
high used animations. Also, for those who keep mentioning the way to add a comment to a script. This wouldn't work with the whole reason we need it. Go here for more info.

It would be great if we could somehow use this to start and stop specific scripts!

it could also make it easier to go to certain scripts quickerThen why stop there? Make blocks for the features.Actually it would have a use for features like these:The reason why I supported this was so that you could be able to stop specific scripts.Couldn't you do that with a variable? No support, this feature doesn't really have a use.

The comments system is terrible (no offence) and I have never used it. Plus in most programming languages there is only one script, so this would continue to build up the barrier between Scratch and say, Python / Java.
Why would you want this system anyway? You can just use broadcasts for each name, so broadcast myScript would be part of myScript.
10% support.

Why would you want to be able to tag scripts? Because
stop [sprite1 v]and
stop [script1 v]are both dupes.

This sounds a bit awkward to use. I'd personally prefer using custom blocks to name scripts.
