Is making game over screens okay?

So I'm making a game, and I'm going to have a game over screen if they die. Is it allowed? Or not?

It really depends how violent both the screen and the death is. Try making the death AND screen as cartoon-like as possible.

Hope this helps!

It's allowed as long as you don't put anything inappropriate into the death or the GO screen. I think something like The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is a good example of implementing it.

Going off the above, another safe idea would be to put the text “GAME OVER” in either the marker or donegal font, and playing a sort of “dun dun dun” set of notes. G.O. screens are allowed as long as you keep it just as PG as the rest of the game.

I would assume so, as long as you don't put graphic images or anything like that.

I've seen many of games that I'd say were pretty G or PG appropriate and they had game-over screens. Generally they'd just be a black screen with text that says “Game Over”, you could try that.
You could possibly have a picture that goes along with the “game over”, though, as long as (like I have said) the image isn't overly graphic/scary.
