Okey dokey. Connor, you have just came into the city of Neverwinter, a bustling city in the great North of the Forgotten Realms, on the Material Plane (any other plane and you'd be already dead >_>). As you wander around the city (which takes a good while, a couple hours) you can see there are several inns of modest and comfortable quality. You also spot a city hall, a few prisons, many trading posts, and posters all around the city saying “WANTED. Rats are infesting the city. One out of five bites can be infected, and is severe. If bitten, see the city hall for help. One silver piece for each dead rat presented to the city hall.”
What will you do? By the time you had finished exploring the city, it is early afternoon.

He starts asking around the tavern for dungeons, tombs to raid, and the like.

"Okay, you go into the tavern. In the tavern are many round tables with three-five chairs at each one. You see a group of three young men that look like novice fighters arguing about something. At another table, a very old elf female is alone at a table watching all of the people in the tavern, her eyes landing on you several times. In one corner, an adult female half-elf plays a beautiful song on a violin. A gnome family of a male adult, female adult, and two girls are standing closely, listening. Two more tables have four people at each, and they are talking quietly. At the back of the tavern is a long bar counter with a bald, burly man who is cleaning glasses and serving two dwarves strong ales.Okey dokey. All of them, being wary of the old elf who he doesn't trust. Charisma check? If so… 8. *. +2 so that's 10."Okay, you go into the tavern. Okay, you start off by speaking to the three arguing novice adventurers. There are three humans, two females and a male, all appear to be in their early twenties. They immediately quiet down upon seeing you approach them.
“Yes?” The male asks, raising an eyebrow.
“I just wanted to know if you guys knew any dungeons or tombs to raid, or something like that,” you reply.
The three humans look at each other, and look back.
“Actually,” the younger female says, “we could use an extra hand. There is a young green dragon that has claimed a ruined town some ways east of here.”
“And as you know,” the other female breaks in, “dragons are a little dangerous…”
“And of course, we aren't just asking it as a favor. We'll pay. We've seen the dragon carry loot into his tower - there is probably treasure in there. We'll split evenly between the four of us?” the male offers.
“Yes?” The male asks, raising an eyebrow.

“Yes?” The male asks, raising an eyebrow.

He heads off with the adventurers.

I overhear them talking and follow them to see If I can come along on their adventure.“Hmm,” Conner says thoughtfully. “What do you bring to this adventure party?” He raises his hand to shake with her. “I'm Conner, Happy-Go-Lucky Wizard of the Sword Coast. You don't need to know my last name.”

*shakes hand* I'm Mizuki, I overheard you talking about dragons and I thought I may be of some use to your party. I used to be a Defender of a small town and I have plenty of experience with hunting beasts. *opens my backpack* I also have torches for exploring underground or in the dark and plenty of food! I live near the forests but I came into town for social pleasures as I get lonely living out there sometimes. *takes a step closer* Anyways I hope you would accept me?

Conner looks at her funny for a moment then shrugged. “Okay dokey.” He looks at the group. “Let's go slay us a dragon.”Okay, after you and Mizuki have joined the other three adventurers, all five of you exit the tavern and the city, and the three adventurers lead the way east. On the way, they introduce themselves to you. The younger female says, “My name is Mary Malana, and this is (pointing to the other female) Jessie Banmo, and (pointing to the male) Will Encham.”
Both of you introduce yourselves again.
Will says, “I am a fighter, Jessie is a paladin, and Mary's a bard.”
“I serve Bahamut, god of metallic dragons, which is why I want to rid Thundertree of the green dragon,” Jessie adds.
Mary breaks in, “Oh, Thundertree is the name of town we are going to. It was destroyed when Mount Hotenow erupted thirty years ago.”
According to Will, Mary, and Jessie, Thundertree is about fifty miles east of Neverwinter, so it will take a couple days to get there. On the first day, the temperatures are warm, with clear skies. The current date and time is 7/6/1492 at 1322, or Flamerule the Sixth, Fourteen Ninety Two DR. (Refer to page fifteen of the Sword Coast's Adventurer's Guide (SCAG)).
Please determine a marching order (in the Adventure chapter of the Player's Handbook (PHB)).
