Um… In scratch 3.0,
the cloud list is Release? or not?

please answer fast!

If you mean if cloud lists will come in 3.0, this probably won't happen. It would cause server overflow and could lead to private messaging.

I actually asked for cloud lists and they said they weren't adding it for those very reasons.

There were posts from the ST that cloud lists will come soon and we should be patient:

It appears to me that cloud lists will not be in Scratch 3.0. I bet the Scratch Team won't be implementing them anytime soon. It is clear to me that this is officially called off, likely for the private messaging reasons that @Gibom mentioned.

I can't imagine that we'll see cloud lists implemented any time soon.

–And I doubt it's really so much to do with private messaging, etc., but more to do with difficulty of implementation…

It really is not at all straightforward to see how to make cloud lists remain sufficiently well synchronised across multiple users, whilst also keeping down the traffic for the cloud servers.

Once you realise there'll typically be a delay of at least 0.2 secs between someone adding/deleting/replacing/inserting an item in a cloud list and others seeing that change, it's clear that each user's cloud list is very likely to get completely out of sync with others, since different users running the project will probably make changes based on different states of the list during that delay time. –And as soon as it starts getting out of sync, it's likely to get worse and worse.

The only straightforward way to avoid that is to send the whole list at every change (just like happens with a cloudvar at the moment). –But that will no doubt lead to the cloud servers falling over with traffic. (I mean, the ST already had to limit cloudvars to 128 chars to try to reduce the problem with cloud traffic, and that was without cloud lists – not to mention having the 10 cloudvar limit in place well before that.)
