A guide to the forums for new scratchers!

Hello, could you add that there is no need to quote the original post when replying to a topic? I have noticed an increase in this recently and it tends to clutter up the forum thread.

Hi, although I'm not new to Scratch, I am new to the forums xD I have a question, how do I search on the forums?

When I click the search button it says there are 0 results for my search but I'm not sure where I have to type in what I want to search… xD Could someone help me out?

And I'm extremely sorry if this is the wrong topic to ask on, I'm not sure how to use the forums and not sure if this fits the topic!

This probably should have gone in the Questions about Scratch forum. Currently, the search bar doesn't work for the forums. Instead, just type your question into the google search bar and you should find your answer.

In the post, when outlining the uses for each forum, “Advanced Topics” is spelled as “Advances Topics.”

Hello, and welcome to Scratch! There is a special thread just for that.. The gist is that you are automatically promoted to Scratcher when you meet certain requirements and have been generally active for at least about a month. Also, where possible we try to avoid using the block plugin for actual communication (only for demonstrating blocks) as it can make the thread appear cluttered.
