People are seriously missing out about this game. Let's conversate about this game, stat.

as for anyone who decides to check this post out, cave story, or “洞窟物語,” as it is called in japan, was a game made by Daisuke Amaya, or as his internet username goes, Pixel, as a passion project over the span of five years. it was good. so good infact, that Nicalis noticed Pixel's work and published it later as “cave story +,” which some people consider the definitive version. there was also a wii and ds version, but nobody talks about those since the marketplaces there are long dead.

i won't spoil anything quite yet, since this IS supposed to just be an entry post into what's to come. play the game for yourself!

…let's just say i had to get used to hearing the death sound for a good few hours while i stumbled around. and you bet i got the bad ending.

that one freaking jump after the core boss oh my WHY IS IT SO ANNOYING
