No support, I just don't see a reason why this has to exist.

The concept is pretty cool, but I really don't understand how this would benefit scratch.

Semi-support, but only for forum posts in things like Questions/Bugs and Glitches.
Oddly specific, but..

The concept is pretty cool, but I really don't understand how this would benefit scratch. It would make the atmosphere a lot more welcoming and friendly, I think. Imagine you're starting out on the website, you look at someone's project, leave a comment saying “woah this is really good, I could never do this”, and the project author thanks you for the comment. Wouldn't that feel great? And it would also save time, since the author wouldn't have to respond in another comment, instead they would only have to click a couple buttons.
Not true - the ST would have logs of ‘thanking’ activity. If people used the function to spam you, you could go to their profile and report the user for spamming.Ah, yes. but can you report or reply to thanks? You didn't mention it. So if people spam, and you go to their profile and say, “Stop spamming me!” the spammer would say, “I did not! I am reporting you for lying.” And you would have no way to prove they did it.People could spam you messages by thanking.I think assuming the limit is the same as for commenting people could spam you thank messages as much as they could spam you with profile comments.
Or even better, thanking logs could be public (the way they are on Wikipedia, they don't show up in logs by default but you can see the records of someone thanking people) - maybe have it show up in their “What I've Been Doing” profile sections? Then add an option in the user report dialog for something like “excessive thank spamming”?
The only downside I can see is someone sayingI do also see a problem with that, but that's when the report button and contact us come into play.Y U NO TAHNK MEH COMMETN???!?!!!??!?!? IM REPORTING U!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11!!!![]()

I think it supports neutral, although the constructive exists more, people can make spam by clicking several times

About a month ago, I would have supported this, but now i really think that this would remove the whole point of posting thanks, as users could just thank every post they see, every 60 seconds.
Though this would prevent things like emoji spam or scratchblock spam in the announcement forum, by users thanking the OP.
I have semi- support

Semi-Support. I think that this is a good idea because you can make sure someone sees that you have thanked them, but it could definitely be spammed.
Really, 60 second rule?

Really, 60 second rule?Ironic seeing as I think I suggested a 60-second rule for thanking. (If I didn't bring that up before, I suggest it now).

+1 because…. because
well…. wait a minut!
it could be very helpfull for this kind of topic!
i mean, the ability to leave a like on a forum post! it would be way easier to give our agreement on a specific post, to thanks someone or so…

the ability to leave a like on a forum post!I'm not suggesting a “like” button, because there wouldn't be any publicly visible number of people who had thanked the post. It would only fire a notification to whoever wrote the post.
Or even better, thanking logs could be public (the way they are on Wikipedia, they don't show up in logs by default but you can see the records of someone thanking people) - maybe have it show up in their “What I've Been Doing” profile sections? Then add an option in the user report dialog for something like “excessive thank spamming”?The more I think about this, the more I think it should be a part of the original suggestion. I've edited the OP.

Support ^^
Or, like on other websites' forums, we could make some sort of “upvote/downvote” system, couldn't we?

I see this a “like” button. Just give a thumbs up next to the comment, and you can only thank someone once, and only they can see it, IF they have replied to YOUR comment. I'm not sure if people will be happy as if they make a comment for support/help and get no thank, they think you're not nice. So @World_Languages can make an Auto-Thank mod.

I support! I use the phrase “thank you” so much on scratch that I have to add emoji or change capitalization to keep from getting marked as spam, this would help with that.
