eromanga sensei is just bad dont watch it
yuru yuri is good tho

For SoL I'd personally recommend:
Non Non Biyori - life in the sticks
Girls Last Tour - 2 girls go on a super chill journey exploring a post apocalyptic world
K-On! - they eat cake and drink tea. and make music sometimes
Hinamatsuri - psychic girls from another world try to fit in on earth
Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid - like hinamatsuri but they're dragons and its a bit better overall

Action:
Fate/zero (Fight scenes are ok)
made in abyss (Unique)
Kill la kill (fanservice)
didnt really like fate/zero that much aside from the animation. everyone says u need to read the vn to fully appreciate it but i didnt even like most of the characters themselves lmao

mia and klk are both insanely good tho. wish i had started collecting vinyl a few months earlier that way i might actually have the mia ost. i saw it appear *once* on ebay for like 300 bucks. no listings at all rn

Action I'd recommend:
Initial D - im just running in the 90s its a new way i like to be
Hajime no Ippo - boxing
Berserk (1997) - mercenaries in the dark ages. then it gets into like demons n stuff. just started reading the manga recently and it seems even better…
Hunter x Hunter (2011) - the only good action shonen i mean bnha is good but nowhere near as good lmao
Akira - classic movie about a biker kid who gets psychic powers.
JoJo - its jojo
Redline - movie about a crazy race with no rules

Haven't seen any of the dark shows u mentioned but I'd recommend:
Neon Genesis Evangelion. sort of a mix of “dark” and “action” - kids with problems pilot mechs. main series doesnt get too dark until later on but the movie gets darker. its one of the best movies of all time imo
Perfect Blue - movie about an idol/actress that goes crazy. the whole thing with rumi kinda reminds me of ivan from the machinist if anyones seen that lmao

Eh, I usually don't like those types of shows that much anyway.
What's Fairy Tail even about?
It's not that hard to consult Wikipedia.
It doesn't look that bad…
good story concept =/= good writing
Oh…

imagine unironically liking it
i mean it isn't funny, the characters have no depth, the entire concept is trashy af, and it has no sense of creativity whatsoever

…but then again it could be worse, i mean it could be citrus :^)

I suggest checking out Little Witch Academia, it's super cute and it's clean, you can find it on Netflix.

I agree

JoJo is practically its own genre (though Bepop is more of its own genre)

I should say that when I'm summarizing JoJo to someone next time instead of saying, “It's a series that mainly consists of the bloodline called the Joestar bloodline fighting evil people named after songs and it's a really bizarre adventure, you should go read it.”

On the topic of JoJo, has anyone else read the whole series? I've been caught up for a few months now.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it's because there's a lot of money to be made off of sexual anime content due to the fact that the kinds of people who enjoy it are often very dedicated and buy a lot of merch, so a lot of companies just churn it out for money.
Wouldn't be able to help you in finding any anime that fit those parameters, but other people on this thread clearly can.

Well, there's The Disastrous Life of Saiki K, but I don't know if it counts as clean… I mean, it has like, bathroom humor and stuff. And mild swearing.
I know a lot of clean and (relatively) non-cringey manga, but I don't know if you like manga.

If language is the problem, I heard that mild swearing is more “acceptable” for somewhat older children to hear in Japan. (lookin' at you, Klonoa Heroes Densetsu no English localization because you took it too far for a “children's” franchise)
